It's expected to clinch the #1 spot on the UK album chart. Easily.

Perez you wouldn't know good music if it kicked you in the neck and punched you in the junk. Bands like Coldplay, Radiohead, etc. are too sophisticated and complex for your little pea brain. It's like expecting a pig to enjoy cavier and foie gras or a gorilla to appreciate Shakespeare. You're the cultural equivalent of a knuckle-dragging neanderthal.

It's the kind of music that makes you stop and listen, not that all that crap you post on here. It seems like you like music with a shallow beat, little to no instrumentation and girls with grating high-pitched voices. Considering Coldplay is deep and orchestral with smooth vocals, it's actually no wonder you don't like it. Your loss.

I have always been a coldplay fan, loved their previous albums, but this new album is not cutting it for me. It just falls way short of all their other songs….the new single is cute tho. but thats about it.
Perez..I have to say this but your taste in music, is well..gay. Coldplay are one of the greatest things to happen to music in our time and they completely shoot any of your dance/techmo/pop bands out of the water with their creativity. Their first day sales are solid proof of that.

That being said, I completely disagree with you about Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends. This album is 8,000x better than X&Y AND A Rush of Blood to the Head. Nothing will ever be better than Parachutes but this album definitely does NOT suck. I've heard the whole thing and have pre-ordered it because I want a better sound quality than the leaked version. If it adds any credit to my opinion, I am a radio DJ in Washington state. Just my 2 cents.

It's a strong, strong album. Moves in new creative directions and still sounds like Coldplay. Produced by Eno, a true master. A band evolving and growing is never a bad thing. Remember kids, there were plenty of people back in the day who thought The Beatles had jumped the shark when they first heard SGT. PEPPER'S. Some folks still wanted the same old She Loves You — Yeah Yeah Yeah! Good thing for us that The Beatles had a bigger agenda… like changing the world.
