It's expected to clinch the #1 spot on the UK album chart. Easily.
We're not a big fan of the album.

i only like a couple of songs on the album and thats Viva La Vida and Violet Hill

I have listened to the album several times. The first time I was thrown off by a few of the songs, but having listened to it more than once, I believe it is an evolution for Coldplay. Perez, I think you are loosing your touch. But I still love you. Usually I agree with your musical tastes but you have missed the mark with Viva La Vida. Give it another try.
Coldplay's new album its not bad, but its not great either, above average.

Coldplay's album must just be over your head. Since there's no sign of any techno beat or some has been girl singing it you have no idea that's good music. The musical arrangements are genius. It's going to be their greatest album yet. Not everything can be played in a club.

I am absolutely appalled that you think you know good music… a lot of your pop music recommendations aren't even catchy or enjoyable (with the exception of Lady Gaga who you were very late to the game with)! Yeah i also love Coldplay, my favorite band! Took a while to dig the album though, 42, Lost!, Violet Hill, and Cemeteries Of London are my favorite songs. And yes they tried something different, much different that there 3 previous albums, you have to give them credit.

I wasn't a huge fan of Coldplay but this album is A-Mazing! It's like nothing I've ever heard and Viva La Vida has to be the best song on there, it's so experimental and different… I luv it! x

I shelled out for it. And…I don't know. I'm disappointed. It's not BAD, certainly. But not great like their previous albums. I found it kind of barely above mediocre. But who knows, maybe it will grow on me.

does the album "suck", well no. its just a coldplay record. if you are already a fan you will likely enjoy it, if you already hate them, then you will probably hate them even more after this record. its going to be big and they are going to get bigger. who cares either way.

I was never that big a fan of Coldplay, some songs they release are tolerable but after the first two songs I turned my radio at work off and wouldn't listen to it till that shit had finished. I'm sorry Perez but Coldplay is so much better than Madonna. Hard Candy is really average (even if i did love 4 Minutes, but Give it to me… YUK!!!!). Viva la Vida, the first single on the new Coldplay album is phenomenal and definitely innovative and different from what they usually do.
PS: I wanna give you props on your Kanye West video. I was at the Glow in the Dark Tour concert too and he almost reminded me of this french rapper, MC Solaar, that's a genius in the genre like him (or even better). Though the concert was SO ling (cuz all the performers were great), it was totally worth it!!! and i still have the "thank you and you're welcome" booklet too…
