It's possible for a number of reasons. #1 He has a shitload of money making it possible for him to acquire a great defense team and also to be able to pay off jurors. Spare me the that can't happen routine, trust me, it happens.
#2 It also happens when you have a family ( of the young girl) that didn't give a shit about her because he (r. kelly) was actually paying them. Remember the father was on his payroll. So the sacrificial lamb in all of this was the little girl. The parent's didn't give a fuck about her. All they gave a fuck about was the money he was breaking them off with. So in exchange for money, they turned a blind eye to what was going on. You mean to tell me that anybody in their right mind wouldn't press charges against this sick fuck? The parents didn't want to. The state had to bring the charges against him. And then the girl said she wasn't the girl on the tape. So in reality this was fucked from the very beginning. And I blame no one but the parents in this situation. Ain't no way in hell I would whore out my daughter for the sake of some money. And I mean literally WHORE out my daughter.
