the prosecution could not prove that the tape was real or that it was an underage girl in the video. The girl, the prosecution named as the underage child (she is now a grown woman) said that it was not her!!! if they dont have a victim, how can they expect to convince the jury that a crime was committed!!!! they should have wait for more evidence before even thinking about bringing this case to trial. I work for a SA(sexual assault) agency, and just so all you know, WITHOUT victim cooperation, you basically have NOTHING. Money, in this case, has nothing to do with it. The girl in question denies that it was her in the video, therefore, they cannot prove it. Friends and family of the girl denies that it was her as well and so does this freak r. kelly. The only time that money plays a role in this situation is the money that he paid to the girl and her family to keep their mouths shut. It is outrageous that the girl's mother did not really step foward so you know that they were paid and to me that is so freakin ghetto. I am in total shock and disbelief that the jury actually found him NOT GUILTY!!! He must have had the same jury as O.J. Simpson…people are so ignorant and naive. As a victim of child molestation, I can totally understand how the victim(s) must be feeling to know that justice is not being served….because our WONDERFUL "justice system" totally overlooked what happened to me as well, and i can remember the feelings of frustration and sadness that i felt knowing that this monster would still be free to continue to torture people-and I was right…the guy who did it to me had a baby GIRL a year after i pressed charges against him. She is about 8 now and I can only PRAY for her safety. Roman Polanski should try the same thing. After all, just like R Kelly, it's been years since the crime took place. I am grateful that you are only judged guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Certainly, doubt over much of the critical evidence was pushed hard. Had this trial come sooner I believe justice would have had a better chance. Time and leverage twisted the facts.
