Tim Russert has just passed away.
The Meet The Press host suffered a heart attack on Friday, his family has said.
He was just 58.
Russert was at work at the NBC Studios in Washington, D.C., today when he was struck with cardiac arrest. He was unable to recover.
So sad.
Our condolences to his family on this very tragic and sudden loss.

Watched Meet the Press EVERY WEEK. So sad that he won't see the results of the most historic presidential election of our time. He was a ball buster, but fair interviewer…and some of you don't even know who he is.

Tim Russert was an honest hard working American that actually cared about the world around him for him and his family and for the rest of the world too! He treated everyone fair and will be a big loss in the news and political arenas. He talked and treated everyone with respect and dignity. More people would do good to take a lesson from him on how grace and humility work. I can't believe some of the posts on this site. You people make yourself look completely ignorant or should I say are obviously very ignorant.
You are not "struck with cardiac arrest"…you are in cardiac arrest….and "he was not able to recover"…you don't recover from cardiac arrest…you are revived via electric shock or CPR. I can't believe he has passed on. He was a towering strength in his industry and helped American understand the political process…very iconic. He always good things to say about our hometown, Buffalo…he will be missed quite a bit. My thoughts & prayers go out to his family.

Both of my parents are dead and I'm miss them terribly every day. I'm only 40 and my only child has NO grandparents on either side. I can't believe this. He was such a wonderful personality. He expressed such love and respect for his family. Especially his dad, "Big Russ" and his son. He was so proud of his son. This is devestating. He will certainly have a place in heaven.

k so i'm 23 and i don't know much about politics but i know that tim russert was one of the most intelligent men on television. he didn't pick sides, he just followed the polls and educated people like myself who are open minded. i am saddened and shocked to hear of his passing. there should be more people in the world like tim russert. sigh.
