Russian gazillionaire Roman Abromovich (owner of London soccer club Chelsea) ponied up $2 million for an Amy Winhouse performance at his 25-year old girlfriend's Moscow art gallery opening this past Thursday.
Wino's peeps managed to get her on a plane to the Russian city. But according to reports, a source says, when she arrived in Moscow "she was in no condition to appear."
Party organizers supposedly talked about finding a Wino replacement but felt there wasn't enough time.
Ames was supposed to take the stage at 10:30 pm but didn't make it on til 12:30. The singer's handlers worked two exhausting hours to get her on stage, says an insider.
Between snorts sips of Coke, Winehouse puffed on cigarettes, flung her lighter into the audience and tugged on her little dress, revealing to front row fans that she wasn't wearing underwear.

BTW, I didn't mean that there isn't some compassion being demonstrated here in these comments, as there obviously is. But what gets me is that the magazines, the newspaper articles, the gossip blogs, (including this one) don't inspire anyone - even her family, as you said - to get her some help.
And it's not like she's just one of our neighbourhood kids; someone we can actually ARRANGE an intervention for… there are MILLIONS of people watching this unfold, and it blows my mind.
And if the police would get off their asses and arrest her for possession, a judge could easily order forced rehab or time served.

NONE of this report is accurate. Winehouse performed well and pleased the entire crowd and her behavior was fine. She chatted with people afterwards, thanked the host, got her massive money and returned home.
