Tiger Woods won the US open Monday afternoon.
Most golf fans will agree, it was a historical and exciting showdown between Tiger and runner-up Rocco Mediate.
The two were TIED at the end of an 18-hole playoff.
Despite his bunk knee, Tiger won on the first sudden death hole.
Who knew there was sudden death in golf????
If Rocco won, he would've been the oldest winner of the US Open.
Tiger said in a post tourney interview with NBC Sports that he's taking a break for a bit.
Congrats, Tiger, and hope your knee gets back in tip top shape soon!!
Now go, enjoy your break, enjoy your millions hundreds of millions, and enjoy being a daddy!

I like Rocco and I was really routing for him to win, this guyis so humble; but I'm also a Tiger fan, but Rocco deserve to win, Rocco played outstanding golf, sadly it was not enough to win the U.S. Open. Congratulations to both…especially to Tiger who played miraculous golf on Sunday. And his race [black and asian] has nothing to do with how Tiger perform as a perfessional golfer. SDGR don't call me a poor fool. I am not. I actually debated the pool boy comment and was trying to think positive about it. so much negative and stereotypes in this world. And so many people being forced to be PC. I guess what I am trying to take the comment as is that he meant that Rocco doesn't look like an athlete. And he doesn't. He has had major back surgery. And that he is at the point that he is, despite being able to really stand up straight, is amazing. Don't call me a poor fool. I was actually trying to think it through and maybe was a bit less cynical than others.

Tiger's level of success against his competitors, in his field of endevor, is unequaled in history. In any sport, period. Golf is hard as shit to be consistantly good at and he is the only person to have done if for so long. Som' y'alls might say Jack Nicklaus has more majors but there is no way you can say that JN came close to dominating his contemporaries the way TW does. Tiger Woods is amazing! It cracks me up how people who don't have a fucking clue about golf are posting shit about him. I mean, how could you hate a guy who is humble about winning so often, and is such a good sport? He's a likeable and hardworking athlete who deserves respect.
