Cyd Charisse has passed away.
The legendary screen siren died Tuesday after an apparent heart attack.
She was 86.
Cyd lived a long, full life. She starred in countless musicals with Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire.
Her dancing feet live on!

She was naturally gorgeous and classy. RIP I will be watching Brigadoon this week.
Cyd was a REAL MOVIE STAR! The current "movie actresses" don't hold a candle to her.
She had talent, beauty and class.
dayum she was hot! I saw a piece last night on the news and they showed a clip of the two of them dancing. UNBELIEVABLE! They were awesome together.
Ms. Charisse was not in an 'American in Paris" though she was offered the role. She was pregnant and the time so the part went to Leslie Caron. So sad that this generation of young kids will never know and dont seem to have any interest in the beauty and class that was Hollywood back then. RIP to the longest, most beautiful legs in Hollywood.

She was a true star…unlike the untalented skanks of today like Hohan, and Pilton.
a class act in film and life — part of the MGM golden years — she also starred in the last uncompleted film of MARILYN MONROE — SOMETHING'S GOT TO GIVE……….peace to her.
This makes me so sad. A lot of people dont know her but she was one of the most gorgeous stars ever and the most amazing dancer.

omg i loved Cyd so much!
I literally yelled out in horror when I heard about this on TCM the other night. Cyd was a true class act. I'm only 16 but I know quite a lot about "Old Hollywood." She was amazing in Singin' in the Rain even though she had a smaller part. I thought Cyd was looking great and was healthy so this came as a shock. I feel for Tony Martin, her husband of 60 years. My thoughts are with her family at this time.
And to those of you who are calling Cyd a "he" and have no clue who she is, age is not an excuse. Get some culture, damn it.
