Re: erika – No, you've got it mixed up - what you MEANT to say was that Angelina Jolie is one of the few celebrities who uses her fame to constantly congratulate herself on her "perfect" life that we mere morals can only dream about. REAL philanthropists don't go around holding press conferences every five minutes to announce their latest charitable move. They also don't whore their kids' pictures out to magazines in exchange for eternally positive press and claim that the money goes to "charity". If you believe that Jolie puts her money where her mouth is, you must be one of those people who'll believe anything.
What is wrong with you negative people?! She donates alot of ther time & money & she cares. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE??? It is so easy to sit back and pick someone else apart. Would it be better if did not to these things? The funny thing is that if she did not donate & step up she would not be getting raked over the coals. She is fake? Bind all of this up together, and you have one sick chick on your hands. All of these kids she has adopted and having are a phase, and so is Brad. Watch the next couple of years; she'll snap out of it and move on to her next fix.

I adopted my daughter, who is now 8 years old, when I lived with a partner and had a full-time military career. When we split, I retained custody, and now live on a disability pension due to an illness that overcame me in 2003.
I live in Canada, where health care isn't as bloody expensive as it is in the United States, and while it can be a struggle on my income, (pension and child support) I MANAGE JUST FINE, thank you very much.
And I sure as hell DO give $5000 a year. $30,000 is more than enough in Canada to support one adult female, and one child.
Now, FUCK OFF and quit judging me, unless you want to share YOUR magnificent life with the rest of us.

Not that its of any concern to you all…but she does not own the 70 million dollar home, just renting it for a while. Second before you call out somebody else's objectives and morals, check yourself. Ask yourself what the last thing you did to help someone, what have you done that makes a different. What is inspiring about her and many other actresses is that she doesn't just talk…she has been and continues to go to these places and has donated more than a third of her income to charitable causes. I could care less about her personal life, her professional life, what is of more concern is her humanitarian efforts. Those who choose to judge her on aspects of her personal life with which you do not know first hand are over looking the positive achievements in the world she has made. So again, the next time you question somebody, think "what have I done?" Leave her personal life alone and focus on her humanitarian efforts, and smile for someone with her power both socially and finacially is not simply attending club openings, going on shopping sprees, and attending charity events for the free press and swag.
