If we were to hold with modern conventions, the right picture (the cosmetic surgery picture) would absolutely be considered more beautiful. It's truly a pity that people judge other creatures (not just humans) based on their looks. I work at an animal shelter and the more conventionally attractive cats/dogs get homes often before the ones with great personalities and traumatic obstacles which they have had to overcome. It's such a pity that we "intelligent beings" still judge people so much based on the way they look as opposed to the way they act or what they do. In some time periods "fat" has been in, small eyes and small lips were considered true beauty, and hips were a sign of fertility and attractiveness.
) and the only thing we really can do is shine our personalities out amongst the masses and hope that it is accepted - no matter how conventionally beautiful we are or how high our IQ is.
Take for example the fact that anorexia nervosa and bulemia are on the rise in the western world today. In some other countries injecting hormones to make yourself more voluptuous and "round" has become a norm. Beauty is not only fleeting it's a fad.
And it's only ethical to judge people on their actions and behaviour - not on something that they can't change or improve all that much - like beauty and brains.

I think it is sad that you try to make someone get plastic surgery. Nobody is perfect, it must be hard enough for her that both her parents are quite georgeous. I think she looks great in her normal photo. It's not our perfections, but our imperfections that make us beautiful. If she 'had work done,' she would look great…just like every other god damn model and movie star. She wouldn't be unique…and to me, that is ugly.
