Charlie Apologizes For Using The "N" Word!

Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards are in a yet another vitriolic public exchange of words.
And this time it gets racial!
As previously mentioned, voice mail messages that Charlie left for Denise over three years ago surfaced earlier today, Wednesday.
Hmm, who saves 3 year old voicemails??
Looks like someone had intentions to use them for revenge or blackmail!
Charlie's messages included several curse-filled rants and even a clip of him calling Denise a "fucking nigg–."
Yea. Digusting!

Hours after the recordings were released (and then vanished online), Charlie issued an apology.
He says, "I deeply apologize by my choice of words to all I have obviously offended; especially to Tony Todd, an African-American, who was my best man at my first two weddings."
He goes on to say, "Three and one-half years later, the reasons that caused the anger and frustration displayed on that voice mail continue to be manifested on a daily basis" especially because "my children did not show up today for a custodial visit without explanation."
Ughhh….
This is such a tough one.

I think Denise is a racist, too, for not calling him out on this when it happened, and instead 'saving' it to use later to get one in. Why the wait? Seems like she didn't find it so horrible herself at the time — which makes me wonder about her character as well, or lack of.
The word in question should not be so taboo. Charlie said it to discribe someone who he thinks is trash, a low life, which is what the word means to me. Or it could mean a term of enderment like yo whats up _. Lets all grow up a little. Some racist people would use the term and thats not cool but its a word. I wouldent give it that much power. Its no diffrent then bitch. Some people have used the word in a horribly abusive way. I dont mind to be called a bitch or a cunt for that matter. Because at the end of the day its just words.

Charlie was not being racist. He was just calling Denise a mean word, which might not be nice, but does Denise Richards look black to you? He was just using a mean word that had nothing to do with color.

This is absurd. The N word really is just a word. A word that was part of quote of the day from Ice T, and he will he be given a hard time about using it? I totally understand why he called her that, and I'm not offended. I used the N word all the time, jokingly and in anger, before I learned where it came from, and what the connotation really means. Truth be told, I like Denise Richards and her new TV show. Even if she's been a hot mess, so what? Dealing with an ass like Charlie Sheen? Some of the things going on in her life? I'm sure it hasn't been easy. She curses a lot…but its kind of funny (I just hope it isn't around her kids–but they aren't on the show too often).

Someone already brought this up, but why is it okay for Ice T to use the n word and not okay for Charlie Sheen? Personally, I do not think that anyone should use it, but for some reason, no one seems to care when a black person uses the n word. Just for the record, I'm black, so I suppose "technically" I should be able to use it, but I think that it's a horrible derogatory word that should be left in the past.
It doesn't help that they're both playing it out in public and I certainly don't agree with Charlie's choice of words.
