Will Smith will probs be the undisputed #1 movie star in the world in a few weeks.
According to industry predictions, Smith's new flick, Hancock, (in theaters July 2nd) is destined for a $140-$150 million opening weekend, which would mark the 8th consecutive film for Will that would make $100 million or more at the box office!
No other actor has done that before!
Wills must be glad that the box office curse plaguing his good friend, Tom Cruise hasn't rubbed off on him!
We have to admit that we think Hancock's superhero needs rehab storyline is pretty clever.
Plus, funnyman Jason Bateman is in the flick.

hell no im not gonna see that movie. i hate will smith. how many films about a mouthy black man saving the world does will smith need to make….
Ummm…the superhero who needs rehab was made famous by Iron Man back in the day when he dealt with alcoholism. So, in essence, "Hancock" is ripping off of Iron Man. Not very original. Perez, do your research before you write things (And this is coming from someone who reads your blog everyday and is a big fan).

I don't care of Will Smith and haven't seen a Will Smith movie in years. And yet, there is something "interesting" about "Hancock". It's the anti-hero Hero thing, I guess. And I really like Jason Bateman. So glad he made it as an adult actor (he was always much better actor than Rick Schroeder).
So I guess I will see "Hancock". But the movie of the summer will be "The Dark Knight". Heath will get an an Oscar nomination for this performance.

Yes Definately. I think he enjoys so much success at the box office because he picks films that are in general family friendly. Although some may be scary there is nothing too extreme that at least a family with young teens could go see. His movies appeal to all ages, and he's a great actor & family man!
