I LOVE QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE. And Josh Homme is my biggest crush in the world, Im sad to say I'm borderline obsessed with him. I caught his concert in Halifax and he was PHENOMENAL! Ha sang accapella and it was beautiful, he also played alot of QOTSA's earlier work. It was a good crowd and a good venue, amazing concert. Later the week, he played a show in St. John's, Newfoundland, the province where I'm from. During the concert he had water bottles thrown at him, where he then stopped the show and told off the person for their disrespect, then continued the show even restarting the song. He then later had a shoe thrown at him, and I can see that from his frustration he is somewhat justified in using such a harsh word. He was just performing his art and some dipshit who clearly isn't a fan of the band decided to interrupt him twice. Seeing that the majority of their songs revolve around love-making, the very opposite of hate, I doubt any hints of homophobia are their intent. I am embarassed that my province had to represent themselves in such a way.. but oh well. The concert I went to was amazing and Josh was great with interacting with the crowd. I don't think you can judge him solely based on this reaction, it was due to ignorance so it got an ignorant response.
