Despite her recent arrest for drugs, it looks like Tatum O'Neal is returning to her role as Maggie on the FX series Rescue Me.
Do people actually watch that show???
At the time of her arrest earlier this month, O'Neal had already filmed two episodes for the fifth season of the show, which is expected to premiere in the spring of 2009.
Peter Tolan, the series co-creator says "We want to bring her back, and I haven't heard anything about why she wouldn't be available to us. It's a misdemeanor, so she's not going to do time, and nobody has said to us we can't insure her or anything like that. So I'm assuming she's available to us and it's 'business as usual.'"
Yea, unless she gets busted again for cocaine and taken to jail!
Tolan adds, "We've already started to do some stuff with her that hooks into the death [of one of the characters] and where that sends her."
Even if she returns, will U still watch?

"Rescue Me" is actually a really great show… However, her character is obnoxious 85% of the time, and her romantic involvement with one of the fire-fighters was always the part of the show I wanted to skip. It really is an awesome show though

I watch that show before she started and I'll watch it after she departs. It had a shitty season (I believe it was season 3) but last season the spark returned. This is the first I heard I have to wait till next year to see new episodes, boooo. I will satisfy my thirst for sex-ed up crazy plot FX shows with Nip/Tuck and It's Always Sunny in Philidephia until then. PS. If you don't want It's always sunny, get the 1st and 2nd season dvd. These characters are freaking stupidly funny. My favorite espisode is when Dee and Denis (rich kids) go on welfare. I cry from laughter everytime. I totally went off on a tangent but I LOVE "It's Always Sunny!" If that ever gets cancelled I will cry. That show is the cure for depression.

Rescue Me is AWESOME!!!! I just heard it's not back until April 09 though. Writers' Strike hit hard; however, the season will have 22 episodes instead of 13.

At least TRY to act a litttle educated. The Hills is not for everyone, in fact it's for teenagers. Rescue Me is tough, great acting and fantastic scrip writing. Watch it once and you'll be hooked! The Hills is boring and contrived! Don't waste your space writing about it because we just don't care. Rescue Me is amazing, addictive and awesome!

June 24th starts with small ' mini shows' like 5 or 10 minutes to clue us in as to what is going to happen in the upcoming season or to tie it on..something along those lines…Full episodes start I think in February 09…(writer's strike!) If you don't watch the show, you should start!

Wow! After I posted my first comment I reviewed almost all the other comments. I am currently in the scant minority that have NOT seen this show and it looks like I have to remedy this pronto! I won't watch the shallow "Hills" folk (shout out to David Letterman) and I won't watch the tweeny "Gossip Girl" but I can get on board with some true wit and grit, plus I have always had a female closet crush on Leary.
Rescue Me is a phenomenal show! One of my absolute favorites! I am soooo sad to hear it won't be back till 2009?! WTF it always came on in around June or July? That damn writers strike probably screwed it all up! When it comes back Perez you MUST watch it! Better yet get the DVDs of previous seasons so you can see why it is so awesome!
