As we mentioned earlier this month, people were petitioning for Cheeta the chimp to get his own star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.
Cheeta's handlers have tried to get the 76 year old chimp on the walk for a while now.
This time marked their 7th submission.
However, unfortunately for Cheeta, this wasn't his year.
Poor guy!
So, who is getting a star instead???
Fucking Tinkerbell! And that bitch isn't even alive!
That's an outrage!
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's Walk of Fame Committee are the ones who chose the recipients and were later ratified by the board of directors on Thursday.
We think it's time people start contacting the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and ask for a re-vote, damnit.
We still don't get why a fictional character was added to the list before that of an acting animal that's been working for years.

In order for a person to get a star on the Walk of Fame, he or she must agree to attend a presentation ceremony within five years of selection, and a $25,000 fee must be paid to the Trust for costs such as security at the star ceremony; a 2003 FOX News story noted that the fee is typically paid by sponsors such as film studios and record companies, as part of the publicity for a release with which the honoree is involved.[citation needed] On other occasions, the fee is paid by a fan club or the nominating person or organization.

The whole "Hollywood Walk of Fame" is a farce. If you have the money (ie. Donald Trump) or money backing you (Ryan Seacrest via Merv Griffin), then you will so be honored. The biggest pisser, was when "The Donald" was awarded. Those who should be honored are ones who have been in the business for 20 plus years. Ben Kingsley, Charles Durning and Leslie Caron should have been at the top of the list, long before someone like Donald Trump. All it is anymore is a publicity farce, nothing more. The respectability of the "Walk of Fame" has long been tarnished.

Shakira deserves a star, you guys may not know much about her in the US aside from a couple of hit songs, but in latin America and Europe she has had multiple #1 singles and she is the BONO or Angelina Jolie of Latin America, she has an organization which just last month got over 300 millions dollars in donation for children who live on the streets, her organization is called Alas (Wings) and it has helped many people in a short time and will continue to do so, these are people that deserve honors the folks that do good for others. As far as Tinkerbell goes it is a good thing for her to have a star that way when my daughter goes to hollywood that is the start she will be looking for as well as most of everyones young daughters, at least she will be known in 100 years maybe alot of people on there including folks like Lucy Ball and even Robert Redford may not be know by future generations but, Mickey, Donald, Snow White and Tinkerbell will be.

Yay for Shakira!!! To all the haters out there, she deserves this star. She has been in the music industry since she was 15 yrs old in her native Colombia. However, she hit the big time in the mid 90's when her album "Pies Descalzos" became a HUGE hit in Europe and Latin America. She may not have the best vocal ability but @ least she writes and produces her own material. Unlike a lot of today's "artist". Selena should also get a star!!!
