i know i already posted, but having reviewed soldja's vid again, the comments he made that i found compelling were: that ice-t was wrong, that he shouldn't put down someone else's achievement, there are people that have no success out there and he's made it, that ice-t should put out his own music instead of denouncing someone else, that musicians should help each other, that soulja's taking care of his family, and that ice-t should be ashamed of himself for telling some young kid's big brother to eat a dick for nothing. amen to all of that jazz.

I'm a big fan of a lot of hip hop artists today, but I have to agree with Ice T! Although Soulja boy's song is quite catchy by no means should it be considered anything more than hip hop. Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Run DMC… those were the real artists that I recall! In this day an age no one seems to give a fuck about any of their lyrics. It's depressing. Honestly, I understand Ice T's sentiments about Hip Hop, and how alot of it is garbage….HOWEVER in the words of soulja boy, "his old ass" should be ashamed of himself for attacking a 17 yr old boy. Ice T is 50. He should know better as an adult that he didnt have to personally attack Soulja Boy the way he did. As a 48 year old woman with a 17 year old child, I am team Souljaboy all the way. Altho he handled it in a typical juvenile way, with name calling and cracking jokes, his main thought is right. Ice-T, as an established artist should be encouraging and offering advice and assistance to the young up and comers, not publicly dissing and and dismissing them. Ice-T needs to man up and make himself more useful to new artists instead of hating on them because his own time is long passed.
I think it's apparent that SB has no education beyond a few years of grade school. This goes a little beyond disrespecting your elders. This is an ignorant little boy who needs help, whether it be mentally or just help with his home work, some one help the boy. We all know he will be a nobody in a couple of years. It's just too bad he doesn't realize that so he can form a back up plan. Ice is clearly a very intelligent man; he knew he wouldn't rap forever and he got other jobs. He may be old and his shit came out 15 years ago, but we all still know him, and a lot of people still listen to his music. Soulja boy will be a punchline in 5 years.
