Filed under: Politik > Barack Obama > Hillary Clinton

wenn1743522.jpg

In an effort to unite the Democratic Party, Barack Obama's campaign announced today that he will be campaigning with Hillary Clinton next week.

Yay!!!!!

The two senators will campaign together starting next Friday, June 27th.

The pair will also meet in Washington with some of Clinton's top contributors in an effort to try and calm donors who are still bothered by Obama's presidential campaign.

Few details are being released at the moment, though.

The news did come one day after Obama announced that he would reverse an earlier position and reject almost $85 million in public financing for the general election.

The announcement was received with a lot of criticism.

So, to draw the attention elsewhere, he made the announcement a week early about campaigning with Hillary.

Do U think Obama should have Hillary run as Vice President?

Firstly, get your facts straight. Obama said that, were the opposing parties' candidate willing to forgo private funding, he would gladly do the same.

Keep Hillary's stickiness off of my candidate.

He's a fool if he cooses her for his VP. Most of America would vote for ANYONE rather than vote for a Clinton. If only Democrats voted in a national election, she would have a chance on his ticket, - but, that's not the case. In the long run, she would be political suicide to him. Obama isn't spelled C-L-I-N-T-O-N.

  14. Skept says – reply to this

    414

I think there is too much bad blood between Obama and Clinton, I don't think it would be in his best interest to keep her as VP. There are plenty of other suitable women or men for the VP spot.

Also, shouldn't taxpayers be happy that a politican isn't taking TAX dollars to finance a campaign? Why not just put a cap on private spending if that is a concern.

"Do U think Obama should have Hillary run as Vice President?"

YES! YES, YES, YES!!!!! I can't say it enough. Any way we get Hillary into office in the white house is good enough for me. This is an extremely smart move on Obama's part. Without Hillary, I can't say whether or not he would beat his opponent but with Hillary I don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell he could possibly lose. Unless he gets killed sometime in the next few months then he's the new president as far as I'm concerned.

Since BOTH "Party's" are full of crooks and thieves, to simply cast a Party vote is throwing away your vote, - I truly believe that MOST people already know this. Don't be simplistic and use your heads, investigate for yourselves, and come to your OWN conclusions about which "ticket/team" will be the best for the COUNTRY (you have plenty of time). It is, after all, what's at stake.

You have to be completely ignorant NOT to vote for Obama, with or without Clinton!! McCain is another Bush, and if you know anything, you'd be aware that it takes a Democrat to rebuild the taxes and debt of a Republican's term. And yes, it is a way different amount of damage control after Bush's two terms. I am still confused at how America let Bush serve a second term. OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE, vote Democrat.

Hillary is so smart and wonderful and hard working. Barack is so intelligent and a splendid politician who I hope will be a great president. It would be best for the country — and our world — if they further their talents and strengths in separate branches of our government. OMG I just wrote a couple of complete sentences at this hour. Cheers, y'all!

  55. Licki says – reply to this

    455

NO Hillary should NOT be VP after the was she and Bill and Geraldine Ferraro treated Obama.

Also she said John McCain would be a better President than Obama. That's just something you do NOT do in politics.

There's nothing that is a joke about Obama: He's smarter than the entire Republican Party. He's not a 71 year old white man wearing a diaper, and he has 255 million dollars to McCains 55 million. McCain is the damn Joke.

  56. 456

Obama's approval rating would skyrocket if he chose Hillary for his VP. Everyone who was going to vote for her for Pres, would settle for the next best thing; VP. If he chooses anyone else, McCain stands a better chance - AND WE DON'T WANT THAT. Hil has experience in the white house. It would pretty much seal his chance at becoming our next president.

Re: JOHN – You are absolutely right. I've never seen such unfair tactics in a race for the Presidency in my life. But then, she's a woman. Why am I not surprised. It saddens me to see how far our sisters have gone before us and then this naive generation just pisses a woman's chance in the white house down the tubes. A woman like Hillary, who has proved her intelligence time and time again. Pathetic ladies. I'm really disillusioned with their choices and the fact that they can't see how their gender was F***D OVER! I couldn't give a shit if the President was purple, you don't vote by color, you vote by merit.

Hillary loves it when Obama sticks his big brown cock into her anus. Bill watches and jacks off while he eats Chelsea's (aka The white house dog) cunt. Janet Reno is under Hillary. Eating her snatch and Nancy Reagan hobbles in and takes a wet sticky old person's shit all over Janet as Condi Rice rubs it allover Janets body, stopping only to lick her fingers. Then Dick Cheney and George Bush drag out the corpses of Lady Bird Johnson and Tim Russert and they take turns fucking each of them. As Dick's dick goes into Lady B's moldy cunt, her legs fall off and they all cheer and Bill lays a big fart. They all laugh and get back to business! Unbelievable!!! Happy Friday! Re: cruel

hmm maybe your name should be obama gives it to me in the ass because he wasn't joking, he said that ""It is wonderful to be back in Oregon," Obama said. "Over the last 15 months, we’ve traveled to every corner of the United States. I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go. Alaska and Hawaii, I was not allowed to go to even though I really wanted to visit, but my staff would not justify it."

"At a later stop Obama was talking with reporters and expressed concern he'd also mis-stated the number of potential cyclone victims in Burma. He said, ""I hope I said 100,000 people the first time instead of 100 million. I understand I said there were 57 states today. It's a sign that my numeracy is getting a little, uh."

    sound like someone is joking?

    469

People only call Hillary a "bitch" because she's a woman. It's annoying, and it sets us backwards. I understand that people are excited about this "change…" but that's all I hear about. I never get the concrete details on what these changes will be. Polls did show that Hillary would have had a stronger lead over John McCain than Obama. I'm not really sure what's going to happen now. With all the baggage from the Bush administration, the Democratic contender should be ahead by a landslide, but it seems that they're neck and neck.

also, i think obama would do himself a bunch of good if he chose pennsylvania governor ed rendell, and furthermore that mccain should pick florida governor charlie crist. both of those guys would help the top of the ticket with segments of their respective parties that were uncooperative or worse during the primaries.

    474

No. The Clintons embraced the Bush family economic doctrine of deregulating food, medicine, health, media, banking and finance (think GMOs, pet food poisonings, and subprime corruption), privatizing the commons, off-shoring U.S. manufacturing, importing cheap labor, and crafting undemocratic trade treaties for the benefit of multinationals at the expense of the public. ANd besides, who needs that serial rapist Bill back in power.

I do not believe Hillary Clinton should be Senator Obama's Vice President simply because her negativity during the Primaries would bring dissention and a bulls eye target for even the most misguided arrow to score a direct hit. Even though Senator Obama was an exemplary and honorable opponent - Senator Clinton's behavior was abominable with unnecessary and unenlightened slurs regarding race - as if that is a precursor for credibility. Like McCain, Clinton has not come into the present where Americans are for America - ethnicity is secondary. Senator Obama is by far and away - the best candidate, the best chance for improvement worldwide for America.

By the way, I am Non-partisan but I will vote for Senator Obama in the Fall not McCain a Bush clone who sent our unprepared (6 weeks of training?) 18 year old sons and daughters barely out of high school into an illegal war where they were maimed and killed by the thousands while keeping his little precious offspring in their snug little 'privileged' world.

I am here to Plead with Real Americans both Republican and Democrat. Our nation is in DANGER. Real danger! Our children, grandparents, women and men. If Obama win the White House they and are nation will be doomed. Terrorist will be free to murder us without fear of punishment! Al Qeda will be free to walk the streets of ANY town USA. They will be free to cut of the heads of little children. Some where we made a very wrong turn in America and we must correct it now, before it is too late. Some will respond to this saying how racist I am and yet I have made no mention to race. It is because they have no real defense of Obama and his ideals. Obama is far more dangerous than Osama bin Laden. After all bin Laden is not one step away from the White House and control of America. Save your children, your wives, husbands, parents and friends from the terrorists that are at our doorstep. Let your children enjoy America they way we did…Free, Brave and Proud. I plead with you Not to vote party lines but vote for Safety, Peace and Freedom. Save America, Vote McCain. The stakes are too high to take a risk.

You know what they say - if you're in your twenties and not a liberal you have no heart and when you reach your thirties if you're still liberal, you have no brain.

I guess I never had a heart in my twenties.

Enjoy your high gas prices you dumb fucks who keep electing liberals.

How's that liberal congress working out for you. They have whopping 12% approval rating.

Now I ask you - are you better off then you were two years ago when you elected these bozos?

Re: Aussi – Same old bullshit argument - the republican president is going to push the big red nuclear button. LOL! Dumbfucks, you tried that with Reagan but history is now showing was one of the best presidents in U.S. history.

Did you douches know that Al Gore's Dad, a U.S. senator, voted against the civil rights act of 1964? You see, liberals are the biggest racist of them all. Conservatives just want people treated equal. DemocRATS want to take from conservatives and give to people who will vote for them. It's classic vote buying.

    Conservatives are givers
    Liberals are takers

when I was a teen in the 80's, I hardly knew anyone that would come close to voting democrat. Of course, that was after the Carter regime. I suppose most people here are too young and dumb to really see how democrats can really screw things up. You really don't have to look too much further than how they are running congress today. Didn't Nance Pelosi promise lower gas prices two years ago? Didn't she say it would be the most ethical congress? Why are so many democrats under investigation right now for illegal activity?
    Dumb douches!
