Muppet Movie News!

Forgetting Sarah Marshall star/writer Jason Segel has been lined up to pen Disney's upcoming Muppet movie.

And, in a new interview, Segal revealed a few interesting tidbits about the Muppet movie script.

The movie is going to do things '80's' style - says Segal, "We are trying to bring it back to the early '80s movies where it's not Muppets in the Sahara or Muppets Underwater. It's the Muppets getting back together to put on a show, to save the studio.”

He also confirmed that Sam the Eagle is in the movie, as are Statler and Waldorf.

There's no word about a possible release date in the interview.

Will you guys see the Muppet movie?

They have to make it in 3-D!

I will SO see this movie! I love Jason Segal, and I love the muppets. How could anyone even THINK of missing this movie?

Jason Segal is probably one of the most hilarious screenwriters out there right now. Plus he's not afraid to show off his goods. Bonus points.

This is AWESOME!!! They should reflect more on what was done on the show. If you haven't watched them lately, rent them. You will look at it now & think I can't believe my parents let me watch this. Don't forget Sweetems!!!
