Seemingly overnight, he's got the "bounce."
Barack Obama has opened up a HUGE 15-point lead over Presidential rival John McCain!
According to the latest Newsweek poll, Obama has a substantial double-digit lead, 51 percent to 36 percent, over McCain among registered voters nationwide.
"Overall, voters see Obama as the preferred agent of "change" by a margin of 51 percent to 27 percent. Younger voters, in particular, are more likely to see Obama that way: those 18 to 39 favor the Illinois senator by 66 percent to 27 percent. The two candidates are statistically tied among older voters."
Will Barack's refusal to accept public financing of his campaign affect those numbers negatively next week???

Listen sweetie, NOBODY knows everything about the election. Elections are so unbelievably complex, it's just plain ignorant to say that you know everything. Political experts don't know EVERYTHING about the election, and even the candidates don't know it all. Maybe you are up to date on what's going on (although I seriously doubt it), but to think you know everything is cocky and bordering on being delusional.
First of all, you people have no idea how lucky you are to have a man the caliber of George W. Bush serving you as President of the U.S.. Also, Obama has crapped all over the Clintons to the point that there is no way in hell he can have Hilary as a running mate. The loyal Clinton supporter who have been w/ them for years are not voting Obama. McCain is fairly moderate so he will for sure pull in those votes. I have no problem w/ a democrat or a black man being president. I just don't want a radical democrat who world leaders won't respect & who is going to tax us up the ass. Bush was way behind in the polls at this time, and by the time November rolled around or in the case of the 2000 election, December, he was elected. While my dumbass generation always seems to get in the hoopla of the election, they don't seem to go out and vote.

PREVENT OFFSHORE DRILLING. You think $4.30 is high for gas? With no domestic search for oil, of which we have the capability to pump up to 2 million barrels/day, expect to pay $10/gallon for gas. Even better, there have been no oil leaks involved in drilling for 50-100 years. Off the coast of New Orleans, there are almost 4000 oil rigs of which none leaked even during Katrina. Its totally green. But Obama wants us dependent on the Saudis for oil, who support terrorism against our country.

The reason this is a huge story is because Obama supposedly agreed to use the public financing for his campaign if McCain did. Now he's backing out of that "promise," and it's pissing McCain off because now if HE uses that money, and Obama doesn't, it makes him look really bad, right? And McCain needs the money desperately.
