Some posters here trying to pigeonhole black or white looks have limited experience. Tyra has been all over the world, and has worked with all levels and all races of people. That absolutely broadens your fashion tastes, and WOULD encompass her developing an affinity and taste for various fashion from all races. If you're around something long enough, you start to see the beauty in it. Tyra is opening doors here, and rather than criticize, perhaps you should consider walking through a few of them yourselves. Many of you sound young with experience limited to junior high and high school groups. You'll see. Go out there and experience the world before you pronounce edicts on how a person should only look 'black' or 'white.' Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Re: Panda – I think because her highest level of formal education was at the high school level, she has a strong connection with her high school self. She doesn't have a vast range of schooling experience to draw from. Also, whenever she talk about her school age self it's often about being picked on for being so skinny because she believes that by sharing this she's convinving her guests and herself that she understands what it's like to feel ugly. But the truth is that her school experince can never compare to people that live feeling ugly or awkward their entire lives. While she may have had that experince herself in school, her experince as a model and people telling her she's beautiful in that industry and the rest of the world gives her validation and cancels out a lot of what she experienced growing up. Here in California (at a office Perez knows about) the IPserver has traced the troll who keeps making these awful racist comments(I have addressed this woman many times before in the past). Unfortunately, she is like me and all other Black women in color, though she has a horrible inferiority complex about our people's role in America, coming from , or our grandparents coming from the island(she knows which one I am speaking of), which only makes her self-hatred more tragic. I have been away lately, travelling about, and I am currently on the West coast but will return home next week. Hey today is the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year, it's all downhill towards winter after today, which sucks because I live in New York and I don't look forward to winter.

Oh, I forgot to add that people in America are constantly borrowing the look of others and to me that's wonderful. People tan, get collagen lips and some are now getting butt implants. Nothing wrong with that if you like it, and there is nothing wrong with straightening or dying your hair and such but you have to be careful and not overdo it. Find a shade that compliments your complexion if you want to look good. I dyed my hair once but it wasn't too attractive because my complexion is dark. But white girls who tan and dye their hair a lighter blond look gorgeous I think. See, it just goes to show you.

I mean she's an oscar award winning actress (although despite that I understand that being a good actress does not necessarily mean that you're a good host or should automatically win an award) However I do think that whoppi's doing a great job on the view! By the way, the tyra show and the view were not in the same category. Rachel Ray won the entertainment show category. & when you think about what's with that? I mean it's a great show, but in my opinion it's not better than the view or the ellen d show.
Tyra should have much better taste in clothes considering her good luck to have worked in the fashion industry.

Tyra Banks is almost 35 years old. She needs to realize she is not the hot young thing she thinks she is. There are many far prettier and younger models than her. There are far better talk show hosts than her!
She appears to really be packing on the pounds and I suppose she thinks this hideous dress is disguising some of it. I'd hate to see how huge she is if those panels on the side were removed!
Since she's never been engaged, married or had a baby (as far as I know) her weight gain cannot be due to that! She's just like most women who start gaining weight around 35 years of age and find it harder and harder to lose. She will soon be menopausal and really pack it on like Aretha Franklin, if she's not careful. Maybe Oprah Winfrey could give her some diet tips.
