   I'm very disappointed in Tyra. I'm no longer a fan and I no longer feel the need to defend her. She has gotten work done. I came to the conclusion after googling her photos. She's done work on her nose and even her lips. She's fake. Just like most celebrities. Tyra didn't need work done. She became a supermodel without it. Why did she eff with her face? Smh.    For the record, tan is beautiful now - it wasn't in the 1800s or even mid-1900s. And I GUARANTEE that "pale" will come into fashion again at some point, just like different clothing styles recycle thru the ages. And then it will go OUT of style and "tan" will be in again.

   It's not about race, it's about what's "fashionable" and all it takes it a few big names to bring something into style.

   And ya know what? I'll admit it - I'm a white chick that loves messing with her looks, coloring my hair, tanning, getting fusions so my hair's thicker, getting my nails done - I don't consider it trying to be black, just taking care of ME to make ME feel good (ok, and because I like to try different things and look good for my man!)

    White women have always tanned because even if their
    not model thin, it doesn't show the imperfections, (etc. cellulite).
    I have NEVER heard a white woman say she was tanning to become a BLACK woman!!

    Re: what? – Nicole Richie had hair color that matched her skin color when she was a little girl, and her little sister has the same thing!! I've seen plenty of kids whose skin tone match their hair color. Tyra and everyone else on earth can dye their hair whatever color they please. But of course even I think women like Ty, Beyonce, Jessica Alba and other women need to embrace their ethnicity and occasionally go back to their natural hair color as well.
