If this is being driven on a road, his child should be in a car seat. Unlike a bike or a city bus, there are seatbelts. So, a car seat should be installed and used here.

I guarantee the child is in no more danger than on a bike, strapped in. BTW, nowhere did I say the child is safer in this vehicle than strapped into a different vehicle with seat belts. He is the ONLY person who was sued, although many many other sites leaked the tracks. Instead, he is taking the risk of a horrible crush/head injury to his child which can happen at speeds of as little as 20 mph - even a golf cart goes that fast. the problem with being in a vehicle and having a child on your lap lies here:
breaking fast at even just 20 miles per hour can cause enough force from your own body to: 1) cut the baby in half if you have strapped them into the seat belt you are wearing 2) crush their sculls in the airbag deploys 3) break their tiny chest cavities if you push then into the steering wheel, they will bleed out internally…PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE WITH A BABY ON YOUR LAP. end of discussion people.
