I think everyone needs to relax! Everyone on here LOVE to bitch about everything. They are good role models for kids. They are disney band so what…if you had a chance to make a ton of money with Disney you would. No one can ever be happy for anyone..its all jealously.

I wish people would just accept life's mysteries and chalk it up to our underdeveloped brains before reaching for a truth that isn't there. I have met fine people of all beliefs, but I just wish what they believed in was personal responsibility and not imaginary figures that harkens back worshiping things that are not understood. If were to worship anything, I think I'd pick the Greek gods, like Zeus. Cool dramas and such. I am a Taoist by nature and it is only a philosophy and not a deity based belief system. It is all about balance and personal responsibility for all actions taken, just without the whole invisible godfigure to confuse oneself with. When I make a mistake in this world, I seek not to rectify it with some imaginary figure, but only with the party I have done damage to. I see small 'sins' as things like my choosing to buy a V-8 years ago and big ones are things such as lying to ourselves and others. To me, religion is a huge lie! I totally agree with you. I have a very religious sister who has joined a Christian (cult)church. Any amount of reason I try to give her, like basic well-known history she rejects. She claims the Bible is written by the Lord, women should wear dresses and be submissive to men, and TV is the agent of the devil… No joke.

Honestly though, have they really done anything great to make them role models? Do they donate their money to charity? Doubt it. They spend their money on their silly 80s style clothing and make sure their hair gets straightened the right way. They probably came from a very privileged background to begin with, so no rags-to-riches story there. So they claim to be virgins until they're married, who gives a hoot. If they manage to wipe out teenage pregnancy then I might be amazed.

I think its really refreshing to see young superstars believing in God. That makes them not want to do illegal things like drugs and underage drinking (umm Lindsey? etc) and sets a really good example for younger kids-who will do everything their idol does.

Bottom line, people won't change what they firmly believe, so i don't make it a point to try.

Everyone always assumes that they bring up their Christian faith every time someone talks to them. They only bring it up when asked about it. And I'm glad they're not afraid of doing that either. They don't promote their rings around, they've had them since each of them was 12 years old, and it's a personal decision to wear them. And again, they only talk about them when asked.
