The British media reports that Amy Winehouse chose hanging out with husband Blake Incarcerated at the jailhouse on Thursday over the star-studded Nelson Mandela photo call.
AND, she was also seen buying little bottles of whiskey and vodka after the jail visit.

Photo snub aside, Amy is confirmed to perform at Friday's highly anticipated concert honoring Mandela.
In fact, we just heard from Perezcious reader Hayley who saw with her very own eyes Wino rehearsing on the concert stage in London's Hyde Park. According to her eyewitness account, Wino sang the song Free Nelson Mandela and sounded quite good.
There's some hope!
Amy's people should think about keeping her on lockdown ’til she's scheduled to go on stage. Someone's gotta help her stay sound enough to perform.

Hey Mario, some free advice: it's probably a good idea to stop reporting on AW because it's becoming highly apparent that a bad ending is coming soon. It's analogous to filming someone falling off a building. Those who show the head splattering on the sidewalk are heavily reprimanded and end up with lifelong regret. You've got many other interesting people to blog about, you should just let this one go and save yourself a lot of future aggravation. I know you've told yourself you have a thick skin, which you must have in this business, but there will be heavy backlash when she goes against those who featured her downfall and it will be practically impossible to be unaffected.

I feel so sad every time I see a picture of Amy Winehouse. I wonder why people aren't intervening in her life because she looks as if she'll drop dead any second now. It's gone beyond, way beyond, the point of being funny and into a very serious place now. She may seem like just a crack head with a drinking problem but to me it seems like she's self-medicating, or at least trying to, only in a bad and harmful way that could just as easily kill her and I think she knows it. Someone needs to help her, not just because it would be a waste of a talented singer-songwriter, but because she is a human being and the world is watching her literally kill herself and that should not be the world that we live in. I hope we live in a better world than that, for all our sakes.
