Good news!!!
The Norwegian media is reporting that Pete Doherty has cancelled his concert at the Hove Festival today in Norway.
Who would even want to see his band, Babyshambles, perform?
Apparently Doherty was too tired to perform at the event.
Poor thing. Must be so tiring living his life.
At least we know he's not taking speed!
Sources are saying that aside from cancelling this performance, Doherty will also be cancelling his shows for the rest of the year.
Let's pray that's true!

i just have to say people stop with the this country and that country thing already!! i'm a proud all american gal, and we have some loosers in the music industry too. My thing is no matter how talented he may or maynot be, and i have listened to his music, its not my type of music but i am going to say the man is talented. I just cannot bring myself to support or listen to people who do these horrible things to themselves… look at this man! Just disturbing!

babyshambles are great! and i really enjoyed their performance in Amsterdam a few months ago. they're comming back to holland, and i absolutely hope that pete can get his junkie ass on the stage, i don't mind he's a junkie, i just love his music!
Have you ever heard one single Babyshambles song?????? They are brilliant!!!! No question, his drug abuse is NOT RIGHT. But as a musician, he is genius. Plus, he is a very intelligent and nice guy, if you ever meet him in person, you will see.

Perez, I hope you've read all of these comments. If you even read any of them. I hope that you see the number of people who disagree with you totally out numbers those who do. The Libertines and Babyshambles are amazing bands. Simply the best thing out there. The only honest music; though i don't suppose you know anything about honesty you fat fuck. Even if their music isn't your thing you could at least respect the artist. Drugs don't make someone a bad person. Prejugdices do. In 100 years no one will remember who the fuck you were but Doherty will be up there with the Cobains, the Lennons, the Morrisons and if you question that just tell one of his fans he sucks to their face, see if you come out of that alive.

When Bill Clinton came to vistit Norway some years ago, they spent millions of kroners on surveilance, and calling the police out to work overtime, BUT they aren't willing to provide the funds that are needed to run the police properly. That is what I mean about the Government allowing this to happen. Our prime minister Jens Stoltenberg is a great guy and his sister is on methadone due to a serious heroin habbit. Don't get me started because they even have an ambulance driving around Oslo with an "overdose squad" who get called out to treat the drug addicts when they OD. I feel VERY sorry for the drug users, and I wish they could live a more dignified life. There is nothing dignified about shooting up in front of lots of people. The governement and the police need to get a fucking grip on the situation.

this is bullshit… despite his downfalls Pete Doherty is an extremely talented artist. The Libertines were amazing, and when he tries Baby Shambles can be just as great. It's sad to see what he is doing to himself.

My Client Peter is not only making an abundance of news recently in the U.K. and his band Babyshambles did hit the londons' charts with a ranking twice of the number one hit song. He is fully talented and capable of holding his career up to a high standerd. The boy has quit the hardest of drugs and still gets hits as the number one google search. Pete Doherty maybe cancelled his show at the Hove festival on thursday, but the same night, just a few hours after the cancellation, he actually played a concert at the Glastonbury festival. Toffen, the manager of the Hove festival, is pissed, and wants a personal excuse from Doherty himself. Good luck with that.
To see them were actually the only reason i wanted to go to Hove (i'm from norway), but now i'm glad i didnt go. I pretty much think pete is a genious.

He is a lyrical genius. The music that he did with the libertines is great, and so is babyshambles. So what if he has some personal problems, he is an artist. and let me tell you that his liveperformances are amazing.
