Congratulations to Miz Angelina Jolie!
The very pregnant star had a HUGE opening this weekend - and it wasn't the twins trying to pop out.
Angie's film, Wanted, did huge business at the box office in America.
The movie made $51.1 million and….
- Wanted was the biggest opening of a live action film in Jolie's career
- It turned out to be the best June opening ever for an R-rated movie, beating Knocked Up's $30.6M, and the 6th highest R-rated opening of all time
- The studio expected only a $35+M opening, so the film did much better than anticipated
- Angie proved she is a big draw: Cinemascore said the main reasons given for choosing to see Wanted were the action (67%) and Jolie (61%).
We weren't able to see it this weekend, but we definitely wanna check out the pic this week.

Not a big Angelina Jolie fan. I mean, she's okay but I don't have an unhealthy obsession with her like too many people do these days. But, she's alright. I really want to see this movie, though, I've heard it's great and I bet it is. Though I am sure Angie does great in it and of course looks great in it, I am tired of her only having box office success revising the same roles. Does she not have diversity? I would like to see her excel in other roles and don't understand why she thinks these are the only roles she can play most of the time.
P.S- the poster earlier was right and I am suprised more of you haven't questioned this, how can 67% watch for action and 61% percent watch for Angie. That sounds like some Perez math there.

I saw the film because of THE RATS! THEY WERE THE REAL STARS! I actually think they were better than Angie in this film! Nothing says "great action flick" like RATS PLAYING THE STARRING ROLE! So Stupid.
For those who are knocking the movie for being number 2, the movie had the highest theatre average out of all the wide releases including Wall-E. So that means there was more people per theatre who went to see Wanted than Wall-E.
Fuck this bitch, she doesn't need any more money. And what she has she wastes on travel all over the globe, burning up precious fuel and other resources. She does charity work only when she is sure she cana get publicity out of it. Her and Brad are scum.

I saw the movie this weekend with my son. Despite the fact that is was awfully VIOLENT!!! I enjoyed it. When Angelina first appeared on the screen their was an audible sigh in the theatre. Say what you want people, she is b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l! Also, I loved the twist at the end…it made the movie that much better. I'm happy that she is having commercial success to match her personal success. All you people who say spiteful, mean-spirited things about her are jealous!

I thought this was a good movie..not great…but what I find really funny is everyone is calling her a homewrecker. Does Pitt get the same anger towards him in every post? It takes two to tango and please…who wouldn't take AJ over Skankiston. If I remember correctly Pitt ditched Aniston because she didn't want kids. If he wanted kids and the woman he was with didn't why not leave? Seems to me that probably happens quite a bit now. Also, since when is she a bad actress? If I am not mistaken she WAS nominated for an academy award. Not sure that many people that want to call her a bad actress on this forum can claim the same…
I have not heard good things about this movie. I have no plans to see it. Angelina is a homewrecking whore. No amount of PR will change that. She does NOT deserve anything good. Karma will get her!

"Wanted" - It kicks ass! It's a film that has no redeeming value other than just good old fashioned violence done right.
It is seriously the best movie I have seen in A LONG LONG LONNNNG time!! I can't wait to go back and see it again!!

I didn't see it because of Angelina Jolie, I saw it because of Mr. McAvoy. I love how diverse his roles are and wanted to see how he'd do in an Action Flick and well he provided. Unlike Angelina who pretty much does MOSTLY action flicks, I like diverse actors and James McAvoy is my favorite one.

yeah, big surprise. Angelina is playing the same part she always does. Very mediocre movie. The only reason it did well is there is nothing else out right now, just like when 10,00 BC came out and it was the #1 movie in March because there wasn't any else out.

I saw it and loved it. Too bad she doesn't get a cut of merchandise profits like her male counterparts in Hollywood. Cruise, Pitt and other male stars could've easily made 30 -50 mil from this with half her appeal; yet she got only a flat rate of $15 m. She's the biggest Star in the movie. She's a true movie star in a land of pseudo stars from the Internet and reality TV.

This movie was really GOOD. Very graphic, the dialog was funny at times but the lead character has a weird resemblence in his actions and the was he sounds to Shia La B.
Oh, WALL-E underperformed. It was on more screens than 'Wanted' and was to take in 70+ mil. WANTED over-performed. It was only supposed to take in 30 m. It took in Over 50. Besides, WALL-E is a kiddie movie and those tend to do exceptionally well, with their built-in audience of family. Haters will hate no matter what. Jealousy is bad folks. Angie is a true celebrity.
I dig Angelina, but I saw it for James Mcavoy. He's hot and mad talented.
Actually, action films are supposed to make more money than comedies, since they cost way more and are meant to air toward a larger demographic.

You know that it was drop off like 80% next weekend. Usually, films drop off 50%. No one went to that movie to see her and her stupid tattoos. I am a huge Angelina fan and I found her physical appearance very disturbing. Not only were her arms stick-thin, her legs were equally as wasted (there was absolutely no muscle tone). She looked as if she couldn’t pick-up a gun much less use it. I’m all for mindless summer movies but this had implausible plot points, no sense of humor (about itself) and was just so fake. Needless to say, I did not enjoy this movie at all.
Like anyone would believe a movie where this twig is a tough guy. Come on, she's not that great an actress - she just has all the hype around her.

I don't normally post but this movie was absolutely amazing. I walked out speechless. From beginning to end it was anything but boring. We plan on seeing it a second time. It delivered the twist M. Night failed to this year. And Angie was awesome in it as well.

i havent seen the film yet but i did see it being made! yeah if you saw the egg store in the movie that is a real store, and the cars in pole thing well that thing was just taken down 2 months ago =(. but angelina wasn't there it was just the stunt double doing the car driving around the parking lot. but that was the most exciting thing to be ever done in Berwyn, Il. 200th commerner!
