    104

    the singing was shit…
but I liked that they included the back in black near the end

  5. what says – reply to this

    105

umm hello? how daft are you people?

he wasn't trying to credibly cover wonderwall– he was singing it in order to mock noel gallagher, who made comments about how jay-z should not be playing glastonbury. so the fact that this was paired with 99 problems (and a bitch ain't one, duh!) was HILARIOUS. i think he did an amazing job and to open with the oasis song was a satisfying eff you to noel gallagher.

  6. STROK says – reply to this

    106

    ITS HOVA ALL DAY BABYy
U DOUCHEFUCKS, HE WAS DISSING NOAH BY PLAYING WONDERWALL…HE WASN'T TRYING TO PAY HOMAGE. WONDERWALL IS ONE OF MY FAVES AND IM NOT BEING A WHINY BITCH ABOUT HIM "BUTCHERING IT"

    excellent!!!!!!!!!!

  8. woowo says – reply to this

    108

I HEART Jay-Z! He is so talanted. By, the way dumbass people, he was singing the song as intro and was playing around with it. He has never claimed to be a singer. Idiots!

  9. Deeee says – reply to this

    109

Hov is the best rapper out there. Anyone who says otherwise is more loca than Perezito.

  10. Devon says – reply to this

    110

Jay NEVER meant to know the words or sing it properly.. He was just giving a big FU to the lead singer of Oasis.. Like you didn't want me here but i'm here and i'm doing your song, and i know i cant sing so suck it…and WHAT!
You people who thought he was REALLY trying to sing and make it sound proper are idiots!

  11. David says – reply to this

    111

Are you guys fucking stupid or something? Jay-Z KNOWS HE CANT SING, if you dont understand that you truly are retarded. It was just meant as a jab at Liam, perfect to continue with 99 problems where the bitch obviously is Liam.

  12. mskex says – reply to this

    112

some of you must be def, because this was absolutely awful, no matter what kind of music you like. from every angle this was really bad. i think my son could have done a better jab and he's 5 years old!

  13. Jorda says – reply to this

    113

Nice nod to British culture but stick to rapping. 99 problems was great-totally creative layering it on Back in Black.

  14. me he says – reply to this

    114

err…. do people seriously not get that he was taking the piss.
Noel said only guitar music should be at Glast… so he came out with one just to take the piss and he said himself he cannot sing- which is why he let the crowd sing…
and you wonder why the world thinks americans are dumb

  15. Real says – reply to this

    115

Just goes to show. Noel Gallagher was right to criticize the organizers for headlining with Jay Z. His appalling rendition of wonderwall just shows that it takes real talent to perform rock.. let do what he's good at, and that's not rock.

  16. Heidi says – reply to this

    116

i heart j-hova!!!!! not much of a singing voice, but who else would tackle wonderwall strumming a guitar in the UK?

  17. Katie says – reply to this

    117

Dear Lord that was terrible!!!! He RUINED Wonderwall. I could sing it better, and I make people's ears bleed when I sing!!!!!! What a freakin waste! Best rapper my arse!

  18. Heidi says – reply to this

I was at this show and it was incredible. Best festival headliner ive ever seen!

  21. Jake says – reply to this

    121

He was awful! And you give Winehous a bad time at least she has an excuse for sounding drunk… she is.

  22. disap says – reply to this

    122

he freakin sucked im an oasis fan but i didn't hold that agianst him
    hes tone deaf!
i can sing 10x better than that and im not even good .

  23. Sarah says – reply to this

    123

I though it was a pretty hysterical diss after what Noel Gallagher said…and then to follow it up with "99 problems but a bitch/Gallagher ain't one". Brilliant!

  24. KKK says – reply to this

    124

OH MY FUCKIN GOD. THIS WAS HORRIBLE.. And I mean HORRIBLE. J should stick to promoting shit and STOP what that crap was. DAMN

  25. ugh says – reply to this

    125

UGH That was atrocious. I just do not like this guy.

  26. Pam says – reply to this

    126

way to slaughter oasis…the audience sang it better.
    stick to rapping jayz.

  27. Steph says – reply to this

gotta love jay z for what he does, rap.
the whole singing part…lets just agree to never hear that again.

  35. Smile says – reply to this

    135

I like how he made fun of Oasis.
And the crowd seemed to be into him - even knowing the words to his song.
I give him 2 thumbs up.

  36. 136

the wonderwall intro was soo weird, it was almost like jay z was doing a karaoke night drunk and high. awfull!!

  37. lilli says – reply to this

    137

    Re: notal – racist

  38. Andre says – reply to this

    138

    this is absolutely terrible

  39. demmi says – reply to this

    139

wow…I can't believe so many people think he was actually trying to 'cover' wonderwall. idiots.

One of the gallagher brothers from oasis, no idea which one, was bitching about hip hop being at glastonbury. so in turn, Jay-Z opens his song which says 'i got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one' with the only hit song oasis ever had here. get it?

  40. aaa says – reply to this

    140

ive seen college kids at a keg party sing wonderwall better than that. and even they were focusing most of their attention on their beer pong skills
seriously why did he even do that?

  41. 141

jay z is a cocky ass, but oasis is a bunch of whiney fucks. wonderwall is not a classic song. the only time it's remotely listenable is when ryan adams cover it. those brothers are ridiculous. blur was so much better.

  42. Leeee says – reply to this

    142

    Wonderwall was WOEFUL.

  43. GQtas says – reply to this

    143

Rap just doesn't translate to concerts. That was a perfect example right there. He looked like stupid w/ that guitar not even getting close to getting it right.

  44. karen says – reply to this

    144

COMPLETELY DISGUSTING. he fucked up the words!!! best rapper alive, my ASS. he ruined the song. TERRIBLE!!!!

  45. g0_f1 says – reply to this

    145

i love the fact that kid up there…Ja is it? says "the lead singer of oasis" as if you dont even know his name, dont comment if youre an ignorant cunt. waste of space. Jazy-z was as good as he was going to get, there was too much hype - there was so many rumours flying round england yesterday that he'd got Linkin Park to do some collision course shiz and Beyonce was apparently going to show up - so for him to have no guests was a bit of a let down, but apart from that what else was he supposed to do? He hasnt got a clue what we and our festivals are all about - completely agree that he didnt deserve to headline- the only reason he did headline was because hes such a major star in the us - plus Eavis couldnt secure Coldplay and whoever else he wanted - diversity didnt play in his favour this year and the ticket sales reflect it. Jazy -z tried and he provided a luke warm set. No fairer than that. peace out

  46. Linds says – reply to this

    146

Horrid…. he totally ruined Wonderwall– he should avoid singing at all costs

  47. Pip says – reply to this

    147

Re: me he – Maybe Americans aren't into celebrity gossip as much as we are Me He, so therefore were unaware of Noel's remarks.

  48. cait says – reply to this

    148

Lame! He prob ruined it on purpose to get back at Noel for dissing him as a headliner. Noel Rox.

  49. t b says – reply to this

    149

not good at all. it sounded horrible and was def. lacking entertainment in it. he didn't know the lyrics, wasn't at the mic, and didn't even work the stage all that much. spent more time hugging the guitarist. if they wanted to deliver an act that wasn't typical to what they have had over the past years, they should of gotten someone with high energy that would of delivered like Kanye.

  50. g0_f1 says – reply to this

    150

    Re: demmi

that comment has been made but you managed to spectacularly add a new spin of "shit head" on it. well done. prick

  51. 151

THIS WAS HARD TO SIT THROUGH. IT WAS TERRIBLE! AN ABOMINATION TO OASIS FANS ACROSS THE GLOBE. HE DIDNT KNOW THE LYRICS, HE COULDNT SING, THE GUITAR WAS JUST RIDICULOUS HANGING AROUND HIS NECK LIKE AN OVERSIZED CHAIN…. BAD, JUST SO BAD!!!! STICK TO RAPPING Z, CAUSE THAT SUCKED ASS!

  52. lmo says – reply to this

    152

Okay, so singing isn 't his forte, but … Jay-Z is still the man!!!!!!!!!!!

  53. erasm says – reply to this

    153

i thought that was childish of jay-z. it's noel gallagher for chrissakes, who CARES what he says??

  54. YouGu says – reply to this

    154

Man, why are people SO fucking stupid? Jay-Z is insulting Noel Gallagher by performing "Wonderwall" followed by "99 Problems" since Gallagher said that Jay-Z and Hip-Hop didn't belong in the festival. Get your heads out of your fucking asses, you daft twats!

  55. Billy says – reply to this

    155

Well I think we've learned something today. And that is - rappers cannot sing.

    At all.

  56. Loser says – reply to this

    156

I don't consider it talent when the best part of your performance was created by AC/DC.

  57. belle says – reply to this

    157

FUCK YEAHHHH!!!! THAT WAS AWESOME. love that guitared out version on 99problems… dude might be married to a creole tranny but he can fucking bring it!

  58. t.j says – reply to this

    158

  59. HJ says – reply to this

    159

Mario, I'm glad you took my suggestion and followed up on what went on with Jay-Z at Glastonbury. I think he was poking fun and it worked for me.

  60. Those says – reply to this

    160

    That fucking douche fucking blew!

  61. ehhh says – reply to this

    161

ehhh i don't get his hype…he's a total hasbeen…a dude nearing middle age in sagging jeans, a hoodie and trendy scarf? are you kidding me? i liken the need to see this guy to that burning desire most of you idiots have to watch herpes hilton, nicole, lindsay, britney and the lot of other total wretched losers who do nothing more than infect our air supply.

  62. AIaud says – reply to this

    162

wow i just lost so much respect for jay z.. i dont even like rap but the only rap artists i like are jay z and eminem.. however, why did he even attempt to sing?? That was beyond horrible.. it sounded like the bad, yet hilarious American Idol auditions.

  63. RAP says – reply to this

    163

First of all, he looked DAMN GOOD. He can't sing, he knows this. The crowd held that one together, which was beautiful. But 99 Problems? Over the AC/DC track? That was the sickness. Those are two of my fave songs of all time. Thanks for sharing P-Nastay.

  64. melan says – reply to this

    164

ok first off I like jay z but best living rapper of all time, I dont know about that. Anyhoo, I dont think that him "singing" oasis wasnt meant in anyway to be taken seriously. He was just having a bit of fun and knew that everyone in the U.K. would obviously know that song. I thought it was funny! But from the little bit that I did hear, Hova really shouldnt sing! Lol!

  65. impal says – reply to this

    165

Stick the rap, maybe the worse vocal track I have heard

  66. Krack says – reply to this

    166

Perfect! Just perfect! Give him a REAL song with REAL instruments and he makes your ears bleed. Let him yell words that rhyme like an angry third grader, and he's KING. Bwaaaahhh Haaaaaa Haaaa! BURGER KING!

  67. softn says – reply to this

    167

DUUUHHH!!! u asses he was basically mocking them being that they were so against him headlining the concert… As u can see he wasn't even really trying to sing the song..

  68. 168

You KNOW He did this because Noel Gallagher said he had no business being at Glasto. Noel Gallagher started a huge frickin' press-war with Jay-Z and pitched a bitch fit, saying he would ruin the festival and only rock bands should show up and that rap sucks and isn't real music, so this was to get back at him. Way to fuck up the song J, you suck BIG time.

  69. Nick says – reply to this

    169

Out of tune singing. He could have done alot with that song.

  70. Gia says – reply to this

    170

So he's basically telling those whitey's to suck it??
    He killed it baby!

  71. Janie says – reply to this

    171

    OASIS ARE HASBEENS!

  72. Devli says – reply to this

    172

He sounds like crap in the first song. Thank goodness the other rapper was there for the second song, so JayZ could be supported vocally, as well as energetically. He's a horrible performer who is all about ego, and not about even thanking his fans for being there. He's a pig!

  73. Drea says – reply to this

    173

it was great that he did wonderwall as a slap in the face to oasis who said he should be there… then sang 99 problems but a bitch aint 1 right after it as a big fu to noel! JAyz owned it

  74. CHLOE says – reply to this

    174

JAY-Z WAS AMAZINGGG , I JUST HOPE THE NEXT HIP HOP BAND LIVES UP TO HIS EXPECTATIONS , WELL DONE HOV U ROCKEDD ITT :) X

Re: Real – It was a joke idoit! poking fun at that cry baby Liam!!!

  77. Sauza says – reply to this

    177

    i don't think anyone gets this…….
Jay Z did it cause Noel said that hop hop
at Glastonbury was just wrong, that it
was just "guitar music". so what did Jay do?
stuck it to the fucking man.

  78. Ax5 says – reply to this

    178

Although his vocals for wonderwall were pretty bad, I loved the fact that he tried to incorporate guitars into his performance ’cause that's what Noel Gallagher was complaining about. Jay-Z kicked his assss.

  79. chris says – reply to this

    179

    LAME!!!!

  80. Lisa says – reply to this

    180

hmmm. The Oasis intro was kinda awkward….strange choice. Wonder how that came about. The rest was great…but the enthusiastic crowd helped a lot with that

  81. lynds says – reply to this

    181

    As always…Jay-Z knocked it out!

  82. jer says – reply to this

  84. mexic says – reply to this

    184

you white idiots!!!!! he is dissing Noel
so wouldn't you sing the song horrible if you dissed someone wouldn't you
    you bitches are just jealous
    Jay-z killed it

  85. tay says – reply to this

    185

    FUCKIN AMAZING

  86. simi says – reply to this

    186

He did Wonderwall for the crowd and let them sing a lot of it, which they did. He ROCKED his own stuff and the crowd got into that too. I would declare it a success. TEAM HOV!

  87. jesus says – reply to this

    187

you mean, people still care about him?
people still care about rap music?
    that's surprising.
i thought all rappers were dead.
seeing as they love killing people so much.

  88. Amber says – reply to this

    188

This is what drunk people do at partys, get trashed and sing songs without trying. Horrible. He was horrible. Who told him this sounded good?

  89. kayla says – reply to this

    189

love love LOVE him .. not the best but completely wicket how he changed it up

  90. chica says – reply to this

what the fuck what that about?!

  91. bethy says – reply to this

    191

    uuuummmmmm…….not so much lol

  92. JHOVA says – reply to this

    192

he was amazing! I love the back in black mix in 99 problems…as always he suprises me and is an amazing peformer! HOVA!

  93. wtf says – reply to this

    193

And black people wonder why they "don't get no respect"

Maybe if "all of ya all" start acting like human beings, you will get treated like human beings. Learn how to speak proper English. Learn how to demonstrate class and diplomacy when someone criticizes you.

Jay Z is setting a bad example for all the black kids in the ghettos that want to grow up to be like him. Loser.

  94. 194

How many times habe I tole y'all…??? I'se tole ya, I'se tole ya, and I'se tole ya.
    Real singers don't rap.
Example : John Legend. Prince. Ray Charles. Smokey Robinson. Michael Jackson. Usher.
And rappers (note omission of "real", which would be used incorrectly describing what is slang) don't sing. They can't. Or they would.
Example : List too long. (Snoop dawg, Kanye, Akon….that says enough right there. Y'all fill in the resteses.)
Now. THAT is a WRAP…!!! Uuuummmuuummmhhhuuummmm. Hhmmpphh.

  95. Huh? says – reply to this

    195

I love Jay-z and all but the whole Wonderwall part confuses me. If you're going to cover someone else's song, at least know all the words first. His voice wasn't made for that song at all! He always nails his own music, though.

  96. hanna says – reply to this

    196

Jay-Z is amazing. What other rapper could do that? He came out playing electric guitar and singing (albeit not well) "Wonderwall" and then went into "99 Problems" while the band played ACDC's "Back to Black." That is AMAZING! That is why he is one of the best entertainers of his time.

  97. Sir. says – reply to this

    197

Am I getting old (yes) or have I just noticed the following about this post?

    1. Anyone Noel Gallagher disses usually end up with more attention and success than before, cases in point (Blur, Radiohead, Robbie Williams, etc, etc) They should all be sending Noel a f'king thank you card any time he mentions their name.

    2. Why is it that the last three or four shows (including the JAY-Z) clips and many other artists I see live today have pre-recorded backing tracks on their songs? Oasis has NEVER had a pre-recorded track when performing live, even when Liam lost his voice mid show Noel finished every song out on lead guitar AND vocals. NOBODY does this or can do this. Name one artist.

    3. Both acts have sold over 50 million records worldwide, no question there. Has JAY-Z had 8 #1 songs in the US like Oasis have in the UK? No he hasn't.

I just can't respect acts who have to lipsync. If you can't do 100 shows per tour and sound better live than you do in the studio I say get into a different business.

  98. LM says – reply to this

    198

HE DOESNT EVEN KNOW THE LYRICS TO WONDERWALL. Its so disrespectful that he sang the song when NOEL GALLAGHER was the one who criticized him for being at glastonbury. this was a horrible performance and he didnt belong at glastonbury at all

  99. Uproa says – reply to this

    199

"JAY-Z, TELL ME HOW MY ASS TASTE?!?" - OASIS

  100. Kiki says – reply to this
