Former woman Thomas Beatie has delivered a healthy baby girl.

I think it is great for him/her !! It is strange , wierd totally odd but i hope they have a long and happy life !!!!!
He was not the first Transgender male to give birth, but he is the only one that went for the publicity.
I am a lesbian and it really pisses me off that he/she is LEGALLY married just b/c she had her breast removed and takes hormones. She still has the same thing between her legs that I do… but for some reason SHE/HE has the right to get married!!!!
Looks to me like she is just a LESBIAN that took a drastic approach to legally marrying her LESBIAN partner.
When you get right down to it , they do NOT have Hetrosexual sex, they have LESBIAN sex!!!
And maybe it isn't all her fault,, it's our society thats really screwed up…. they would rather keep the image of a MAN and a WOMAN is the only one's who can get LEGALLY MARRIED and so they will allow a FAKE MAN to get married.
Just so it can show on the paperwork that is is a MAN & a WOMAN!!

hermpahrodite isn't an actual biological experience. There is no such thing. Many people all over the world are born with sex characteristics that are not strictly male or female. These people are called "intersexed". Thomas Beatie is not intersexed, he is a transman. It doesnt matter how much testosterone she takes or whatever surgeries she has. She is not a man. And a Man did not give birth, a woman did. We still have yet to see a man give birth.
Not saying she doesnt deserve to be happy or anything, they do. Its just that people are making accusations that are not correct regardless of legal documents stating this human being is a man. Its just a woman who had her breasts removed, and took testosterone. The couple and baby absolutely deserve all the best however, it is just a woman having a baby- it happens everyday.

There is a difference between gender and sex. Your sex, male or female, is biological. Your gender, that is man or woman, is a social creation.
Therefore, if this female feels that s/he is more aligned with our society's perception of man, than he is a man, albeit not necessarily a functioning male.
It's not that difficult to comprehend. I'm sure the child will be fine- she'll probably grow to be a very open-minded, tolerant, rational and empathetic person.
