Barack Obama wants all you Democrats to know that the upcoming convention is yours, not his.
According to his campaign, on Thursday, August 28th, the Presidential hopeful is scheduled to formally accept the Democratic nomination in a speech at the convention hall in front of the assembled delegates.
BUT, instead, Obama will leave the convention hall and join more than 75,000 people for a huge, free, open-air event where he will deliver his acceptance speech to the American people.
Free tickets will become available as the date approaches.
If you make a donation of $5 or more between now and midnight on July 31st, you could be one of 10 supporters chosen to fly to Denver and spend two days and nights at the convention, meet Barack backstage, and watch his acceptance speech in person.
Each of the ten supporters who are selected will be able to bring one guest to join them.
Sweet.

Who do you think has to pay for this war not to mention rebuild our failing infrastructures, New Orleans the floods from this year in the midwest, the bridge in minnesota? Are you really surprised? The majority of our money has been squandered for shitty reasons including a failing national security policy, the patriot act 2 etc. We are pride rich and dirt poor trading on our hopes of rebounding and soon. Get ready for the taxes coming our way it's a fact and i can't see ANYBODY digging us out of this shithole in 4 years it'll take years to reverse a lot of tis fucked up shit.

SO since you know this, why pull his experience record? The point I am making is I am tired of career politicians that collect a check and enact nothing that we the pple want to see. The senate "shares" power with the executive and judicial branches and my point is 143 days or not he atleast has shown up. When you pull the ticker on most Senators they've showed up less than 143 days of work. Obviously our govenrment sucks and major changes need to be made with our political systemand requirements of office.
Lastly, i read your comment on ALaska and that is a temporary fix. We need to start laying the ground work now to put forth earth friendly resources so that the next generation can survive. Stop killing the Earth. Bush is far from a prophet considering he created the situation we are in.
I am impartial about this little 'event'. What I think is so funny is if McCain were doing the same thing, it would be a dumb idea. It's the reason I hate American politics so much. P.S. everyone, if you want to vote for someone who shares you opinions who can DO something for you, take careful inventory of your state's congressmen, they will be the ones representing you in the house. Barack will spend his whole time in office getting vetoed by the republicans, and/or McCain will spend his whole time being shot down by the democrats. No changes will ever be made. wise up.
