Barack Obama wants all you Democrats to know that the upcoming convention is yours, not his.
According to his campaign, on Thursday, August 28th, the Presidential hopeful is scheduled to formally accept the Democratic nomination in a speech at the convention hall in front of the assembled delegates.
BUT, instead, Obama will leave the convention hall and join more than 75,000 people for a huge, free, open-air event where he will deliver his acceptance speech to the American people.
Free tickets will become available as the date approaches.
If you make a donation of $5 or more between now and midnight on July 31st, you could be one of 10 supporters chosen to fly to Denver and spend two days and nights at the convention, meet Barack backstage, and watch his acceptance speech in person.
Each of the ten supporters who are selected will be able to bring one guest to join them.
Sweet.
Nice that Barack is thinking outside the box and really building some major buzz.

I mean…yah hes black….but hes just as white….so he wouldnt be the first black president, he would be the first black and white mixed race president, correct?? am I missing something?
seriously, I know everyone says how captivating the guy is, but I cant stAND the way he speaks…it just sounds so fake to me!!! It sounds like "uhhh…yes/yes, I believe in change you see, and we need to bind together, uhhhh…to achieve that change" I dunno, Im always sitting there like riiiighhhtt…but how are you doing to do that?? anyone else think sometimes his speeches are all show and no substance??
I love obama! I dont know why, I just like the way he speaks. Honestly, I dont know the issues or anything, but I know I want change and obama is such a great speaker and can bring some thing new to the white house. He will help the poor, lower the gas, go green, get us out of iraq and give us more jobs!
