Barack Obama wants all you Democrats to know that the upcoming convention is yours, not his.
According to his campaign, on Thursday, August 28th, the Presidential hopeful is scheduled to formally accept the Democratic nomination in a speech at the convention hall in front of the assembled delegates.
BUT, instead, Obama will leave the convention hall and join more than 75,000 people for a huge, free, open-air event where he will deliver his acceptance speech to the American people.
Free tickets will become available as the date approaches.
If you make a donation of $5 or more between now and midnight on July 31st, you could be one of 10 supporters chosen to fly to Denver and spend two days and nights at the convention, meet Barack backstage, and watch his acceptance speech in person.
Each of the ten supporters who are selected will be able to bring one guest to join them.
Sweet.
Nice that Barack is thinking outside the box and really building some major buzz.

So most blacks were going to do what they did for Bill and line up behind Hillary. Right up until Obama won Iowa, and Bill shot off his mouth with the "Jesse Jackson" quote. Which made Bill Clinton "the first black president" turn white really, really fast. THAT was when the black support for Obama started to coalesce. Blacks weren't for Obama from day one. None of the oils in Louisiana spilled even after hurricane katrina. Further more, there are areas of alaska that have no animals and no hope for human life that would be perfect arenas to drill in. I really think drilling here would send a message we are trying to be more independent and would get more gallons in the market promoting lower gas prices over all.
