Barack Obama wants all you Democrats to know that the upcoming convention is yours, not his.
According to his campaign, on Thursday, August 28th, the Presidential hopeful is scheduled to formally accept the Democratic nomination in a speech at the convention hall in front of the assembled delegates.
BUT, instead, Obama will leave the convention hall and join more than 75,000 people for a huge, free, open-air event where he will deliver his acceptance speech to the American people.
Free tickets will become available as the date approaches.
If you make a donation of $5 or more between now and midnight on July 31st, you could be one of 10 supporters chosen to fly to Denver and spend two days and nights at the convention, meet Barack backstage, and watch his acceptance speech in person.
Each of the ten supporters who are selected will be able to bring one guest to join them.
Sweet.
Nice that Barack is thinking outside the box and really building some major buzz.

Now as far as the AIDS comment, let's examine that. First of all that isn't a "racist" statement as he didn't say white people gave black people AIDS, it's a conspiracy theory that the government engineered AIDS to kill off people of color. well, there's something i didn't expect! You know that's an interesting question. i'll say this. i do like some of what McCain's saying. I really do think he's going to be about fiscal responsibility as far as government spending is concerned, and i think he means it when he says that he's going to try and get rid of the pork barrel projects. If it weren't for the Iraq issue and the environment/oil/economy issue (they're all connected in my mind) i wouldn't have a problem with McCain. Actually, when i thought that Bloomberg was going to run for President i thought that was very interesting. I think he's done a great job with NYC for the most part (coughpolicecough). Actually i really would like to see the day in this country when we get past the two-party system and actually have it open and equal for all parties to be heard/funded and able to run. Then we can really call it a "democracy". How's that?

And since your against the right to choose and want to drill oil here then i say yeah, it makes sense to NOT vote Obama. What i do not like is reading the racial smears on here that cloud the issues ( not saying your guilty of that). That's why you don't support him that's good enough for me that's what most Republicans ay to me anyway. I will say though that the bigger issues we need to address are the WARS, immigration, the Economy and rebuilding our country. The gay issue and abortion takes a backseat for me and that is why I am for Obama. I'm sorry your sister made a hard decision but in the end no one said abortion is an easy choice there are consequences.
Lastly, not to put my family dirt out there but my sister was raped beaten and left for dead in her apt and was later pregnant as a result. I thank God for Roe v. Wade everyday b/c it would have ruined her life to have a child as a reminder of such a violent mysogynistic violation.
