Canadian rockers Nickelback are the latest musicians to get Live Nation-ed.
Why????
They suck so hard!
According to a new report, Nickelback's worldwide contract with Live Nation will cover three touring and album cycles, with an option for a fourth.
The deal also gives Live Nation rights to Nickelback recordings, DVDs, merchandise and endorsements.
No numbers were revealed.
BUT, the band's last tour, sold more than 1.5 million tickets and grossed more than $67 million.
WTF?
We just can't believe so many people paid to see them play 'music'.
Maybe it was a fluke that the band did so well?
Unlike Madonna or U2, we don't think the Nation has a "sure thing" with this investment!

Its pretty obvious that Nickelback isn't your "type" of music….and they may not be the greatest…..but they don't SUCK!

Hey now, there is absolutly nothing wrong with this band. I don't understand why everyone dislikes them SO much. Their music isn't bad, I quite like it and Chad is a VERY nice guy, he's always at The Roxy in Vancouver, B.C.
So quit bashing him and his band. It must be a jealousy thing I'm assuming.
Anyways, I hope they decide to come to Vancouver, I'll jump on that wagon SO quickly! Weeooo!!!
Perez you really don't have the right to "review" Nickleback. I mean … come on … you're the guy that love's Madonna's synth "music" … you do tend to have bubblegum taste. At least these guys are talented ROCK musicians. Have no fear Nickleback - you've got tonnes of fanz who know what making music is really about.
They are awesome. I have seen them twice and will continue to see them whenever they play close by. Even my 6 year old is a fan of their music. Being small town boys from Alberta only makes them sweeter.

I am Canadian and can't stand the fact that Nickelback is too. I don't know one person who likes them….who the hell is buying all their shit. They are horrible and when their music plays I dodge towards the radio or leave stores sometimes. I hate Nickelback…they are aweful and sorry that they are Canadian. They play on the radio sooo much more here because of Canadian broadcasting laws to play a certain percentage of Canadian music.

I love the music and their live perofrmance is absolutely AMAZING!!!!! They are a must see band and I think people will be drawn to the concert as not everyone likes techno pop.
