On life in Louisiana:

"They'd told me it would be an eight- to 12-hour labor, and I was ready to have the baby in three to four hours. I had a perfect pregnancy and a perfect delivery. I was very blessed."
On the delivery:
"Once I got in there, my doctor was just so calm and so good it was not bad at all. I was just talking to Casey. And you know what's so weird? I was asking him if he was okay. He was like, 'Yeah.' We were both so excited."
On little Maddie:
"She is very good. She'll feed every two or three hours. When she wakes up in the middle of the night, I'll feed her and she goes right back to sleep. There's no screaming and crying. We get up in the morning, and she gets her little bath. Then I get my bath. We have a routine, and I love routines. I've worked one out with her, and we're happy going about our little life."

I had a friend that got pregnant at 13…she gave birth at 14 and now she is 18..going to college and she is a wonderful mother to her son. She made a better life for herself than some of the ppl that I went to school with…that havent given birth to a child.

The gray is a crappy frosting job. In the South it's tough to get highlights because most of the hairdressers only know how to do frosting. I had them do that crap to me once.

i 100% agree with you! they are making it seem that its all peaches and cream to a befirst time mother. it is not like that at all! even if you 45 yr old woman, being a mother is not easy. there is no such thing as a routine for babies. babies are so unpredictable, she obvioulsy does not know what she is talking about. i am the mother of 2 adorable babies and its so much work and time consuming. i was expecting her to say, "you know at the end of the day when im reading to pull out my hair, i look down and see my baby sleeping in my arms and it all goes away". thats how it is. not to mention the baby blues, its so confusing to first time mothers to know life one way and then it totally changes, its about you anymore, you eat, sleep, and revlove your whole life around what this baby does and what it needs. i love my babies and im sure she does too but she full of BS!
