On life in Louisiana:

On her pregnancy:
"They'd told me it would be an eight- to 12-hour labor, and I was ready to have the baby in three to four hours. I had a perfect pregnancy and a perfect delivery. I was very blessed."
On the delivery:
"Once I got in there, my doctor was just so calm and so good it was not bad at all. I was just talking to Casey. And you know what's so weird? I was asking him if he was okay. He was like, 'Yeah.' We were both so excited."
On little Maddie:
"She is very good. She'll feed every two or three hours. When she wakes up in the middle of the night, I'll feed her and she goes right back to sleep. There's no screaming and crying. We get up in the morning, and she gets her little bath. Then I get my bath. We have a routine, and I love routines. I've worked one out with her, and we're happy going about our little life."

If the legal age to have sex is 16 (well not everywhere) then people should be entitled to have children at that age! It may have been a mistake, but she seems happy and really a smart girl. It's a lot nicer to see than her partying and getting drunk like every single celeb out there.
I think she looks like she'll be a great mum and anyway, when you're pregnant your body prepares yourself for being a mum, that's why when woman have abortions, they sometimes never get over them, and she's taken responsibility for what she's done, age is only a number.

Oh my goodness there is so much HATE here! People seem to forget that it wasn't too long ago that getting married in your teens (apparently she is getting married by the end of the year) and having children early was the done thing. Her age won't affect the care and love she can give the baby…it's money and her family and the father of the child's support that is key and she clearly has ALL OF THAT so I think everyone should give the girl a break and I'm sure she will do the best job she can. I also don't think this promotes teenage pregnancy at all! Nobody is saying you have to be 40 to have a kid. I think most people's problem is that she's not using her situation and fame to present a more realistic picture of what life as a teenage mother truly is - which she almost can't because her financial status is much better than most teenage mothers. To go on the cover of a magazine and say that her relationship with everyone including her parents and boyfriend has remained picture perfect is absurd. No baby blues? No waking up at 2 am every night? No postpartum body image issues? The stitches aren't even itching? Plenty of people have children at an early age - whatever that definition might be for everyone - but we don't need to be glorifying it for teeny boppers. As for the grey hair its just a distraction to make her look more mature so that everyone can kind of forget that she got knocked up at 16.

Re: nina – PPD and body image are all real concerns and issues that women face in this society. I wasn't saying that she has to go through these things. I was just raising the idea that not everything is as perfect as it seems and she shouldn't be buying into the unfair ideal already and be forced to put on a happy face. It makes it harder for other women who might be second guessing themselves that they are doing something wrong in their lives because everything isn't perfect. And btw if she were so concerned about the baby and raising it she would actually be doing the raising not her mother and not the nanny.

This is why there are so many pregnant teens out there. Sure, its okay for her to be a mom because she has the money and the bodyguards and the nannies to ensure that the baby will grow up happy, and this isnt screwing up her future and highschool career. Jamie Lynn will never ever have to get a job, or work or complete her education, but insecure teen girls wont see it this way. When she has her kids she is chain smoking and texting her friends. Brit has been famous for being a train-wreck the past few years, not for her talent. She was pushed into show-biz as a kid, and living with her boyfriend by her early teens. The Spears aren't exactly parents of the year.
