A-Rod Fights Back!

There's more drama in the already bitter divorce between New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez and his soon-to-be ex, Cynthia.
Apparently, his wife has made it very difficult for the baseball player to see his two daughters, ages 3 years and 2 1/2 months.
And, as PerezHilton.com was the first to report, Cynthia even jetted off to Paris to spend some quality time with her "friend" Lenny Kravitz while she left the kids in Miami with her parents and not with their own dad!!!
What type of a mother would leave her babies behind, and especially a 2 1/2 month old, to jet off and spend some time with a "friend"?
A source adds that when she went to Paris "she refused to let [Alex] have the kids. When she went away, she prevented Alex from seeing his daughters."
The sources continues that Cynthia "hasn't made it easy to see the children." Adding that their "relationship has been a train wreck for over a year. She has not made them available."
Ouch. Just cuz he cheats on you doesn't make him a bad father - just a bad husband!
Richard Rubenstein, A-Rod's spokesman, has said, "He is burning to see his children, and fully intends to play a role in their future."
Though that's not what Cynthia has in mind.
She intends on seeking permanent custody of the kids, and most likely keeping them in Miami, as well as keeping the mansion and a very large chunk of his money.
A friend even says that one night during dinner, at the beginning of this year, A-Rod began receiving text messages. "He kept smiling, acting as if he was a little kid. He told me it was Madonna. I was shocked," says the friend. "He proceeded to say he was in love with her, but I thought he was kidding. But he wasn't." A-Rod then told his friend, "She's my fucking soulmate, dude!"
Ironically enough, sources say it was Cynthia, a huge (now former) fan of Madonna who encouraged her husband to listen to her Madgesty's music and go with her to the concerts in an attempt for Cynthia to meet her music idol.
As for A-Rod not being able to see his babies, sources still blame Cynthia.
Rodriguez has to be in NY often as his $27.5 million contract a year requires him to.
But, sources say Cynthia has access to a private jet and is "surrounded by attendants who can attend to her every whim. Why hasn't she made an effort to see Alex? Because she's preoccupied and self-absorbed. She conveniently kept herself in Florida, and made herself unavailable to him. This is a longstanding thing."
We don't know whose side we're on yet. But they better be civil when it comes to the kids. They don't have any fault in this.

A-Rod is definitely a bad father…not a good example for your children to cheat on their mother with strippers, etc. Cynthia probably went away so her children would not see her totally upset and destroyed. They are both bad parents! One- you are a bad father when you are cheating on the mother of your kids, I saw my mom go thru it for nine years and thats always going to affect the way I feel about my father. He is only teaching his daughter that men are not trustworthy and that WILL haunt them for the rest of their lives ESPECIALLY being a VERY public battle. She should be thinking about her kids and keeping her head high as a woman who will "survive" and not using childish tricks like paybacks until the whole spectacle is over. Cheating on your wife doesn't make you a bad father - it makes you a horrible father! Then again, using your children as pawns in your divorce doesn't make you a bad mother, it makes you a horrible mother. Both of them need to grow up. They've really screwed things up for their children at this point - you would think they would try to _stop_ making mistakes. You know…for the kids' sake…
I guarantee you that Cynthia chose to stay in Miami to be close to her family while A-Rod is traveling. I realize that his job entails him to be "on-the-road" but, he is not locked in NY and it doesn't give him the right to break his marriage vows either!
Cynthia probably left the kids with her parents for several reasons:
1. She found out her husband is still a cheater, was shocked and humiliated and needed to run away.
2. She didn't want the kids to see her upset and wanted to shelter them from paparrazzi.
3. Her parents probably spend more time with the kids (than A-Rod does!) and they were probably better off there.
Apparently A-Rod has only seen his 2 1/2 month old twice since she was born. So, why is he "burning to see them" now?? I can't stand it when FATHERS WHO BARELY SPEND ANY TIME WITH THEIR KIDS CHANGE THEIR TUNE WHEN CUSTODY BATTLES ARISE! WHY CHANGE THINGS NOW? IF THEY CAME FIRST BEFORE, HE WOULD HAVE THOUGHT TWICE ABOUT FEEDING HIS EGO!

ARod seems like he would be a great father from his loving dispostion, and all the work he does with the Boys and Girls Club in Miami as charity work. When was the last time the Yankees had an off day when they were not traveling that would have allowed him to see his kinds in MIAMI (where, by the way, there is no baseball teams where he could be playing an away game, so he may see them for 1/2 a day, not long enough)… The yanks have had 8 off days since February. Only 2 in June. And these are days when major league baseball teams need to travel. and do their work outs. Its the hardest job for him to have and see his kids who don't live in his team's (and his) hometown. Cynthia and the kids should be in NY where she can take them to games (day games that they would enjoy and be able to watch their daddy hit home runs and be awesome) and he can see them when the yankees are at home, and she can be there to support him as well. She sucks in all aspects of their marriage.

Arod has been whining for years how all he wants to be is a good father and how bad he feels that his father wasn't around for him. Why are the kids always the one's to suffer? I think parent's forget sometimes that kids are not pawns or trophies taken out to admire or be cleaned up on occasion and then put away back in the cabinet until next time. Whatever happened to loving your kids enough to realise what is in the best interests of their emotional wellbeing and not what you can use them as to negotiate better money, assets or just plain 'punish' the ex for hurting your pride. I think parents forget that kids have rights as well to see both parents.

Let's assume that every adult in this drama is a jerk, because to some degree they all are. Let's hope there is no danger of emotional or physical threat to the children, which neither have implied; if that is true both parents should have equal access to the children - regardless of lawyers or jockeying for position. That's what is best. Then, these two people should settle their terms. A-Rod (aka Asshole) should pay whatever necessary to disengage himself from his pissed off wife.
