The rumored Friends movie isn't happening, and her FX show, Dirt, has been cancelled.
Thankfully, for Courteney Cox, though, she's hoping to turn the Friends curse around.
The sitcom alum has just signed on to appear in several episodes of Scrubs this coming season, which will see the show on ABC and not its longtime home of NBC.
Cox is on board for three-episode arc as Sacred Heart’s new Chief of Medicine. Her character will "ruffle feathers."
Don't ruffle too much, though. You might jinx the show!

It pisses me off that Dirt was cancelled. One of the most promising and best shows I've seen on Basic Cable for awhile. Hopefully, she'll create and produce some more hits!

Scrubs is almost painfully unfunny. However, I don't see how she could jinx a show that's in it's last season… unless the jinx kept the show on the air another year or longer. Ugh.

Friends wasn't even good enough to deserve a "curse". Anybody who says the characters of a show are cursed is comparing that show to Seinfeld, and Friends will never be anywhere near Seinfeld in comic genius. I mean, the actors werent even comics, and they didn't write the show either. None of them deserve careers. Every movie that dude that played Ross was in was a total piece of crap and the box office stats prove it. And he was the only one that even got close to do anything good.

I was gutted Dirt was cancelled as it was a very promising show but hopefully Courteney will again wow us with her acting skills.
I think Courteney is a very good hard-actress eg Lucy Spiller, Gale Weathers and so this role could be perfect for her.

Jen thinks she is too good for TV. After Brad left her she is getting nowhere in the movie industry. At least Cox knows her place is in TV. She is also a MOTHER, balancing home and family. Cox is more beautiful so she never had to ice her nipples like Aniston who paraded hers every week. What a low class. I'd say Cox > Aniston in all aspects.

DIRT was BRILLIANT! I absolutely loved it!!! I can't believe FX was so short-sighted and cancelled it. The problem with that show was that it didn't receive enough press. If it had, and people tuned in, they would have been as hooked on DIRT as I was. And let me just say that Ms. Cox was FANTASTIC in her role as Lucy Spiller. Oh well. Looks like the suits missed the boat again.
