Vampires will be showing their teeth the next few months!
On the first Saturday in August, teens are expected to attend midnight parties at bookstores across the land in droves to celebrate the release of author Stephenie Meyer's Breaking Dawn, the fourth and final book of her Twilight series.
Breaking Dawn has a first run printing of 3.5 million copies.
Talk about popular!
And then, not too long after that, the first Twilight movie should be hitting movie screens worldwide.
Also, in September, HBO's premiering the vampire show True Blood on September 7th.
True Blood is based on a series of novels by Charlaine Harris. It's set in a world where vampires have come out into the open, thanks to the development of synthetic blood that allows them to survive without feeding on humans.
Anna Paquin will star as a mind-reading waitress who's drawn to a vampire who arrives in her small Louisiana town.

hey perez! im so glad u finally have heard of twilight. just to be a tad less spastic then the other twi.hards (which is another name for us superfans) im gonna try to leave out the e.screams and explitives and tell u why its so important u read this series. they pretty much define my life. so basically its all about these super hot secret vampires (who can go out into the sun. except they kinda sparkle in it. and btw they actually dont technically have fangs) and they dont kill humans. but then edward (aka the most impossibly sexy perfect boy u could ever imagine… who just turned 107 but doesnt look a day over 17) falls in love with a bella whose scent drives him crazy he wants to bite her so much. anything he does without thinking could kill her bc hes so strong. oh and he can read everyones mind but bellas which might be explained in the fourth book but idk. i know that its a little childish to read fantasy books but honestly perez i know that if u start this series u will absolutely not be able to think about anything other than edwards fine ass self.

Perez, thank you so much for this! I have been a fan of your site for a long time now. I highly recommend the Twilight Saga. These books have changed my life! I am so unbelievably excited about about Breaking Dawn, the Twilight movie, Midnight Sun, I could go on and on. Twilight has a huge fanbase, you should check it out.
I also would just like to say that I love the entire cast in the movie. I met Robert Pattinson at the MTV Movie Awards and he was so sweet and nice. The movie looks so great, I can't even wait!

Perez, if you want to talk about gorgeous, sexy vampires, there is NO vamp hotter or more compelling than Mick St. John of the late lamented CBS show, Moonlight. What CBS was thinking when they canceled this excellent show I will never know. But seriously–people, when the DVD of Moonlight comes out this fall, buy it and watch. You won't believe the chemistry between the two leads, Alex O'Loughlin and Sophia Myles. You won't believe how fabulous Jason Dohring is as Mick's 400-year-old (in a 25-year-old's body), Josef. You won't believe the style, the film noir touches, the gorgeous cityscapes of Los Angeles, the excitement, adventure, and just plain SEX APPEAL of that show. I love vampire shows and I plan to watch True Blood and Twilight…but I bet you a million bucks they won't hold a candle to Moonlight.
Yeah, I'm a die-hard fan. (Pun intentional.) And I'm still fighting to find Moonlight a new home, either as a series or in some other form (direct-to-DVD movies, theatrical release, miniseries…). Watch the first 4 episodes (it took a little time to find its feet). And then tell me Moonlight isn't the best vampire show…and those idiots at CBS staked it. SHEESH.
