Amy Winehouse was seen leaving the Monarch Pub in London on Thursday night carrying an empty Budweiser cardboard box, accompanied by a friend who took a lamp with him.
As they made their way into a taxi, photographers snapped photos of the drug addict with big white blobs up her nostrils.
Golly, gee, wonder what that could have been????
It's obvious that Wino doesn't want to get help - so it's time to force her!

I do not think it is sad I think it is THE most self serving crap in history of media.She has never had so much attention..(and boy does she ever love it all ) as since she went drugging.She has NO intention of getting right so why should anyone bother She is like her mate Pete Dogherty.Both a waste of space.As bad as Minogue getting more fame and awards than ever in her 20 years simply because she made sure she had high profile cancer media ad nauseam ,and still put out a crap album that barely sold.

And intervention by her father who claims to love her so well is way past due. Amy simply can't help herself and probably does not think she is sick, though she is. I have known a few people who came close to dying because of their drug habits, one didn't even care that he was going to die because his addiction was so bad he didn't want to live anymore. Amy is so talented and can do so much in the world with her creative gifts if she can battle back to the top, but she has proven over and over again that she simply cannot do it on her own. She is constantly performing at private parties where people are paying her millions for a few hours work so she has the means to buy whatever drugs she wants. Her parents should go to court immediately and declare her unfit to look after herself so that they can do whatever it takes to make her well even over her objections.
Absolutely tragic. I adore Amy Winehouse. It's such a shame that you can't force someone in to treatment for substance abuse alone. Hopefully she will become rabidly psychotic so she can get some decent treatment!

Think about it this way people your friend or a family member had a drug addiction would you treat them the same way as you talk about Amy? She is an addict not in her right mind and undoubtedly thinks she doesn't have an addiction the reason the first step in any addiction is admitting you have one is because addicts delude themselves they have no problem. So she can't help herself. I feel so bad for her. People don't wake up and decide to become drug addicts. Unforturnatley most start off with recreational use and then spiral into an out of control full on addiction. drugs are illegal for a reason. BECAUSE they are highly highly addictive. Yes, amy needs help, but she needs to hit rock bottom first….it looks like shes there already but who are we to judge…
She will only receive help when she really WANTS to be helped. Her family and friends need to start showing her some negative consequences of her drug abuse or she'll never want to change her life. It's time for people to start putting up some boundaries with her so she'll see how much she is going to lose if she doesn't get into treatment.

First of all, it's "their own." "their" is a possessive.
Next, as someone stated earlier, they had a friend whose addiction had so taken over them that they wanted to commit suicide. It's ridiculous and unacceptable to think that addicts shouldn't be forcibly taken to rehab when they are too far gone to be able to help themselves. Amy *should* be forcibly taken to rehab. If she stays in a good rehab clinic long enough, there is a good chance she will recover and live. She won't begin to see that it's good for her until the heroin loses its grip on her. After, say, a year of continuous, nonstop rehab, including therapy, chances of her succumbing again would be remote, or at the very least, greatly lessened. If, however, she checks in and out of clinics like hotels, then she will never get better. To the enablers: stop it. This isn't helping Amy. And stop buying her music and funding her drug habit!
