As we mentioned last month, tension is high at Grey's Anatomy ever since Katherine Heigl's "snub" at the show by withdrawing her name from consideration for the upcoming Emmys.
The show had worked around her busy film schedule, tried to accommodate her, and she ended up saying her role wasn't worth the nomination.
That, obviously, has left many people at the show upset.
And, now, there are rumors that producers might be kicking Katie off the show!
According to reports, even the show's creator, Shonda Rhimes, may be considering killing off Heigl's role as Dr. Izzie Stevens.
An insider says, "It's not good there. Shonda is pissed. They're thinking of killing her off. They want Izzie dead."
Might as well.
She doesn't even appreciate her role!
This is probably what Heigl wanted all along. With her acting career getting stronger with her hit movies, many have speculated for some time that she wanted out of her contract with the show.
Maybe they should screw her over and keep her on!
But they should give her really shitty lines and hardly any air time!
Just a thought.
ABC and Heigl's reps have declined to comment.
And Shonda's rep only said, "I haven't heard anything about that."

unlike the 2nd season, when all american love her for falling in love with the dying hreat failure patient and standing by him until the last moment….. but in the recently season, most of the big events and high moment more around sarah oh or grey and less for izee , so it is understandable that she withdraw her name.

This season of Greys was horrible! I was a huge fan of the show but I quit watching because it was so ridiculous.I absolutely agree with Katherine.Greys was good while it lasted.

That show royally sucks. The dialogue is so overly dramatic. The story lines are so overy dramatic. They use the same shtick every episode. I used to be a fan but got so so so sick of its repetitiveness within 4-5 episodes. YUCK! I am ashamed to say I ever liked that show.

I used to like her alot, especially in her movies like Knocked Up..but if she is dissing the show that made her famous, maybe they should do the same to her! She isn't THAT famous yet…no one likes a snob, especially a rich one!
She wanted the Emmy to go to someone who she felt deserved it. To me, that's not an ingrate, that's someone with honor. 99% of Hollywood would take the award nomination, even if they knew they hadn't earned it. I think Katherine is just being true to herself. It's a shame that she's being treated like shit for doing the right thing.

to be honest i really don't see the big deal about her…she wasn't that great in "knocked up" and "27 dresses" kinda sucked.i do agree that izzy didn't have the greatest material this past season, but for a primetime show grey's is a fairly large ensemble cast and not every single person can get great material.i do think that she needs to watch what she says publicly because she's gonna piss alot of people off if not already.

Don't much care. I think the show "jumped the shark" when Meredith drowned and was brought back to life after four hours with no brain damage. Then she jumped up off the table to do her rounds. Stopped watching after that. Too stupid. Sick of all the whinning going on…..
From the time the news of her words hit media outlets, the first thing I thought was that it was a ploy on her behalf to be released from her contract. A couple of months ago there were reports that she wanted to leave the show, but the show's creators did not want to release her from her contract. Looks like she'll [sadly] get what she wanted all along.

It was ruined…everyone knows Izzie is a HUGE part of the show, if they kill her off they know they're done, the show was already pretty shitty this season, they only had a good season finale. Nobody cares about Grey and McDreamy anymore…Katherine Heigl is an amazingly talented actress and she knows it, perhaps they need to offer her more money, because look Jennifer Aniston in Friends, she made the show, they paid her, and it was an amazing success for 10 years, give her what she wants and the show will prosper, if she leaves, they're done.

Well, Just because she didn't NOMINATE HERSELF, doesn't mean she isn't grateful for her role on the show, but she is very successful in the movies nowadays… I read an interview with Katherine Heigl saying that she didn't think her role this season merited an emmy, and she's right. What with the writer's strike (don't even get me started on that!), and a much shorter season than previous ones, I agree with her. But I do love Isobel Stevens!

What they should do is make sure she is EVERY scene with at least 30-40 lines in each. Then they need to be absolutely unwilling to work around any other projects she wants to take on. When she quits then they can sue her blind.
