After reading the excerpts from earlier, I am amazed, no shock that Perez's worship of Madonna has overwhelmed his common sense. Guy sounds like an out and out homophobe and Madonna, by her acceptance of him and his choices, is basically backing his views. For a well known spokesperson for the gay movement, I cannot understand his backing of her and his dislike for what Christopher says, which I believe he is largely, if not totally, speaking the truth. Despite being a tolerant straight person, I just lost much of the admiration for Perez and what he stands for. I think Perez is making a huge mistake in his devotion to someone who basically sounds like a controlling, egotistic bitch from hell! I think Perez is an out and out dumbass for this! Perez, if you read this, you are a fool!

I love Madonna, to the core, always have. I've been a fan since Lucky Star, but really hugely since Like A Prayer. Been to every concert since Blond Ambition, bought every album, single, and magazine since 1990. That said, I think Christopher has some point. While I disagree with the way he is doing it, he is bringing some things to light. Madonna has a legion of gay fans, and to know or tolerate Guy being a homophobe does not sit well with many. When you are dealing with narcissist, YOU are always thinking & doubting "am I the problem?". It doesnt occur to your mind, until time goes by, that that isn't the case.

Sometimes, when I thought Madonna, I wondered why did she made us all -co-workers, fans- pay for her mother's early death. Never did it occur to her mind, that her siblings lost their mother, too. Christopher lost his mother. OTHER PEOPLE have lost their parents. Her lost is all that really matters - and justifies her antics, her rage, her hurting others, her bitterness, her "power and success". And she uses it as an excuse still, as an adult. She doesn't have to care - not about Christopher, not about society, not about Christopher, not about her family, not about fans, not about common life.
I was a fan, but as years went by, I started to understand, that she's unhealthy person - and doesn't want to heal, for that matter.
I'm glad that he's written about about his sister.

He doesn't come off as sleazy at all. He's articulate, credible, and likely nursing some hurt feelings. None of the already leaked "gotchas" are earth-shattering. I expected a monster, and instead heard from a smart guy from the Midwest who came off as clean, not snarky, not strung out during the interview, but level-headed and sober. He doesn't care for his brother in law, and apparently Madonna's affections and loyalties got transfered from the brother to the husband. I'd be angry if I were her, but I wouldn't cut him out of my life (like Jolie with John Voight of Jennifer Aniston and her mom). The punishment should fit the crime.
Madonna has obviously caused her brother a lot of pain. He sacrificed the best years of this life to make her a Star.
She should have appreciated and acknowledge his contributions to her career. A little GRATITUDE goes a long way. Instead of Lording her money and power over him, and making him do her bidding like a trick dog for bread morsels- she should have made him a creative partner and given him a percentage.

In his Good Morning America interview, he says he was blackmailed by Madonna into going to a Kabalah meeting with Madonna in lieu of money she owed him for finishing her house. But in the link that Perez provided earlier today with a long excerpt of the book, he claims she compensated the remaining balance she owed him with his travel and stay at her wedding.
I am confused. Did he do several houses for her and she screwed him over several times, or is his story not straight?
I love Madonna, but I'm sure there is SOME truth (although exaggerated) to his story. I doubt Madonna is a huge monster that he seems to portray her to be, but I think somewhere down the road of fame, it becomes harder to trust people, even those you are related to. I think the truth lies between both of their stories.

PEOPLE ARE SO GULLIBLE! Don't you realize that Madonna is behind this? She benefits in several ways, first, to stir up controversy and appear relevant for her tour. Secondly, Christopher places the blame for their estrangement squarely at Guys feet, claiming that he's homophobic and overbearing. This way, after the tour has ended, Madonna has a good reason to divorce Guy and kiss and make up with her brother. She'll claim that she didn't realize how homophobic he was until her brother opened her eyes by writing this book. Even though she probably co-wrote the damned thing. I wonder if Christopher will be allowed to keep any of the profits?
