The ABCs of Gay TV

The second annual Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Network Responsibility Index just performed its first ever ranking of TV networks and their gay friendliness.
FX wax named the most responsible channel by GLAAD from the group of cable networks.
ABC was awarded first place again with the best ranking among broadcasters with 24% of its programing hours being considered "inclusive." ABC even portrayed the first gay marriage on television on its hit series Brothers & Sisters.
As for Fox, it was ranked the worst.
GLAAD's rating index "sought to gauge the quantity, quality and diversity of images of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people on television."
Coming in second place, with 21%, was the CW which was also found to be the most ethnically diverse broadcast network.
Of the reaming main five broadcast network stations, CBS was rated "adequate", while NBC was rated "failing" followed by Fox at the very end.
As for cable, FX came at the top followed by HBO which was classified as the most diverse station on cable.
And out of the remaining 10 most watched cable networks, Spike, TBS, A&E, USA, and TNT were all ranked "failing."
One trend they did spot was that most of the gays portrayed on TV were men. White men.
It's about time more stations start to diversify!

Re: hotki – Hotki you said that homosexuality was a major part of nature. Firstly, homosexuals are a very small portion of the homo sapien community. The actual numbers (with no spin added) are around 2% (which is about the same percentage of the population found for all sexual deviants). Secondly, if you want to talk about nature…Monkeys, hamsters and polar bears (just to name a few) are "nature" and they eat their young. Why didn't your mom eat you when she realized you were defective.

1st mistake- There is no such thing as a gay pedophile. U r either a pedophile or ur not, its not a sexual orientation. Secondly, there is NO difference between the this I listed and saying gays are deviant. All of those things also deviate from the norm, so the would also have to be classified as deviant. Because thats what deviant means, deviating from what is most regular. PERIOD. Its all the same. If u think being gay is devaint, then u must believe having blond hair is deviant, or being left-handed is deviant. Just b/c they r different.

MAIN REASON, SUICIDE RATE. The suicide rate is high, mostly b/c of people like YOU. Reparitive therapy is another major reason, 50% of people who try that reparitiver therapy shit end up killing themselves.
