Who knew raving could cost you your eyesight?!?!
According to a new report, dozens of ravers in Russia have been blinded after their retinas were burned by a giant laser light show.
We thought raving was passe, dead, so '90s!
A total of 61 people have been admitted to hospitals across Moscow, city health officials confirmed.
Niet!!!!
Some ravers have lost up to 80 per cent of their vision and doctors say they are unlikely to recover.
Apparently, heavy rain forced rave organizers to erect massive tents for the an all-nighter and giant lasers that normally shoot into the sky were refracted into ravers' eyes.
Is this the end for Russian raves?
Next time, wear sunglasses when raving, y'all!

Its sad to hear about these people losing their eyesight when they were only trying to have fun and party. By the way the rave scene is not dead, in fact its starting up again in many places and has been going strong in Spring Break destinations such as Ibiza. Go to a rave its hell of a lot of fun, calling it "passe" just because you heard about them more in the 90's is immature. Having fun and dancing the night away never gets old.

Raving is not dead, honestly Perez, it is very obvious you haven't partied like an Eastern European. Maybe when you were in your twenties you experienced raves, but now this generation has to experience it too. The party probably got busr a lot of underage partiers… EVeryone is underage here, haha.

"Raves" (as if anyone calls them that anymore) never went away, they just went underground. Much more fun being around the people who want to be there for the music, not just to be seen to be doing the "in" thing. I feel sorry for those Russians, tho - can you imagine the health and safety claims in another country for this?! Somehow, I can't think this would have ever happened in Gatecrasher or Godskitchen…xxx

Russians are known for amazing clubs and crazy rave parties. Certain clubs have intense laser shows and some have different sets of flashing lights. Malakit is an amazing club for raves and hot dancing. When you're in Yekaterinburg, hit up Malakit and see what a real Russian club is like. Raving is fun because it burns lots of calories and helps you meet awesome people. Perez, baby, you should come club with me. We'd have a blast! Just don't stare at the lights like a crackhead.

The scene is definetly NOT dead, nor will it ever die! It is unfortunate to hear about this happening to those people's eyes, though…I'd hate to go to a party and leave the party blind, for sure…God bless them.
