I'm Canadian and I can't figure out how American's haven't realized that since democrats took control of the government everything has gone to shit except Iraq and that's only because the President is still the Commander in Chief and the dems would have really had to go out on a limb to override him on Iraq and not fund the war and since they thought they could use the Iraq war in 08 election to get more power and the Presidency they just bitched and complained about everything the President proposed to change from loosing Iraq to Iran and Al Qaeda to stabilizing it, but they now look like a bunch of defeatist who gave up and wanted to retreat and lose, nothing new. Even funnier today the NY Daily News reported Obama took off his web-site all the negative quotes he had on the surge, "surge will not work",and "that more American troops would only escalate the violence" and my favorite that "McCain and Bush don't understand the conflict" like his sultan Obama does.
And to all of you complaining about the gas prices, one of the reasons gas prices are this high is because the oil analysts and hedge funds who invest in the oil futures know that democrats wouldn't do anything to lower the price of gas, this is democrats wet dream to have gas at a price that people are forced to conserve and find alternative means of transportation, they have wanted a higher gas tax for years but knew the public wouldn't accept it, look at Europe their paying in some places 8 to 9 dollars a gallon and the difference is all taxes and Europe is what democrats think their going to change America into in these next 4 years. Even in Canada we won't shoot are selves in the face to spite our noses, we drill off the shores in Newfoundland and Labrador, suck out as much sand oil from Alberta as is humanely possible and you guys won't drill off your shores or 1/10 of an insect filled landed in the middle of nowhere, you people are so worried about falling behind China, you think China would sit on that much oil because it might harm the environment. Every other country in the world would drill any where and every where they could find a speck of oil.
