Very exciting news musical theater lovers!!!
Finally, a feature film adaptation of the Broadway smash Wicked is in the works.
Yay!
Some names that we could easily see playing either role are: Anne Hathaway, Mandy Moore, Emmy Rossum, Kristen Bell and…..
Who would U love to see in the film????

What about Idina and Kristin? They worked it pretty well on stage, I'd say and it is time for some new blood in the movies. I'm tired of seeing Anne Hathaway (no offense intended) in every other movie.There are more than three actresses you know!

I say Amy Adams, Emmy Rossum, Kristine Chenoweth, anyone who can both ACT and SING. I love Ann Hathaway, but I don't think she can sing! You might want to make room for Meryl "ABBA" Streep. Find a spot for her, bcz girlfriend can S.I.N.G….and dance a little too! You should also look at the cast of High School Musical. Not bcz I think they are all that, but bcz you do want someone to come and see the damned movie, besides a handful of gay men and their mothers. BTW. How come no one wants the Tony Award winning actress who created the part on Broadway, to be in the movie. I'm talking about Taye Digg's wife. She is amazing.

I so wish they were not making this film. This will kill the image we have of the Movie The Wizard of OZ forever! That fact that my childern will live in a world were that b&*ch The wicked witch of the east and west will be honored and Dorothy will be viewed as a villian is sicking to my stomach. If you care any thing about OZ and how it suppose to be DO NOT WATCH THIS PLAY OR FILM because you will never be able the enjoy the Wizard of OZ again.

IDINA MENZEL And KRISTEN CHENOWETH but then I am a dreamer. I know they are both "too old" to play the parts on film, as the stage is much kinder since the majority of the audience is too far away. Heck they were "too old" when they played it on the stage. But they are both Brilliant!

I hope that either Idena and Kristin play the roles or two unknowns because no one else that is already known could really make it work and when movies try to get really famouse people to play roles the singing is never as good………………and if they for some reason do decide to pick known names they better not chooce Emmy Rossum for either of the roles she has a good soprano/messo soprano voice meaning she couldnt play alphaba cus she's supposed to be an atlo and she wouldn't make a good Galinda either simply cus she wouldn't be right for it .
it should be idina and kristin. absolutely no one else would be able to do it justice like idina would. seriously, that voice is amazing.

The originals should be in the movie - Idina Menzel as Elpheba and Kristen Chenoweth as Glinda. They are theater and movie actresses, so why not? I wouldn't watch it any other way!
