The President says there is growth AND that there are tough economic times. The economy is a complicated array of many sectors and certainly some of them are growing. Besides, the longer and harder everyone keeps insisting things SUCK the longer it will take to turn everything around. Confidence in the economy must come before anything changes.
It is too bad there are some many Dems that are willing to pursue their blind hatred for President Bush even thou it is damaging the country.

Say what you will about Bush not being the brightest but he has taken our personal tax rates to a very low % compared to the last 50 years, signed in a Roth 401K, prolonged 529's and more. Mortgage lenders lent money to dual income people who didn't qualify for mortgages that size. Sound business practice has been disregarded, from over buying on over sized credit right on down. You just can't spend like a drunken sailor and expect it to somehow turn out alright. Banks and lenders have been implicit partners in it, raking in the per annum interest rates on credit debt. Live smaller. Help those less fortunate than you.
