I tend to think that people who bash LA haven't spent much time there. Santa Monica, Calabasas, Malibu, Hermonsa Beach, Venice - I love it! There are some shitty parts too, like any city as HUGE as LA. But we've got great artists and food and it's SUNNY EVERY DAY! That just makes you feel HAPPY!
I hate hearing people talk about "La La Land" and the "Fruits, Nuts and Flakes". If you surround yourself with idiots you won't be happy. Period. It may be a little harder to find "grounded" people in LA because outsiders come here to run away… kinda like Vegas. But when you find the right places and people it's a great place to live! It's not for everybody and that's okay.

I lived in BH for 15 years. LA's a big place. Save your pennies, if you have any left after rent for your NY shoebox, and travel outside NY. Then (maybe) you'll be capable of making an intelligent observation. On second thought, stay where you are you fucking shit for brains!
