Akon is getting one more month as a free man.
The criminal case against the singer has just been adjourned today until next month, on August 6th.
The case stems from last year's incident when a crazed Akon threw a 15 year-old fan off stage at the 2007 KFEST concert in June.
In December of last year, Akon plead not guilty to charges of second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a minor.
Currently, he could face 1 year and 15 days in jail if he gets convicted.
As for the boy's mother, Patricia Smith, she attended the case hearing this morning and called it "pretty typical."
She adds, "People can just hang in there long enough until the case goes in their favor."
True.

No he shouldn't be held accountable. That dumbass teenager got what he deserved!
Re: Mary – Adults are supposed to know better. That's why the laws are different for adults & minors.The kid didn't throw him off the stage so what are you even talking about? When children are misbehaving in school and elsewhere, blame the A-hole parents. Kids learn what they are taught.

I think the rules should be the same just like if you jump out on a football field you will get fucked up you have no right to be there on that field or stage.

yes rich ppl should be held responsible for their actions but if a fan throws something at akon during a concert then yes akon had the right to get pissed, it was his concert and that minor disrupted it unnessecarily like seriously he had it coming to him
