Despite all odds, Ryan Phillippe and Abbie Cornish are still together.
The Australian actress accompanied him to the Xbox 360 Gears of War 2 party in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.
The pair met while Phillippe was still married to Reese Witherspoon and reportedly began their affair on the set of a film they both worked on, which nobody watched.

I've been married so STFU! I have raised kids and I have lived a life, too. The point is, People usually blame the woman. They're calling Abbie a slut, a whore, a homewrecker. That is SO lame. She is, first of all, a talented young actress. ( I have seen Candy and Stop Loss.) Secondl, she was brand new to America. Totally new to H'wood, and barely 21 when she met Ryan…who was not living with Reese at the time. He had his own place. He and his main boy, Breckin Myer, and a few other guys, used to hit the clubs two or three times a week. He was cheating, doing pot, all kinds of shit, and finally got his own place. Quit judging people you know nothing about. My sister's daughter got into the same fix. Great job, meets some rich guy separated from his wife, gets his kids on weekends. My niece is a very shelter 23 yr. old. She fell for him. He was and still is a slut. He is 38.

And the movie Stop-Loss was a great movie. You probably didn't even watch it, which you should do BEFORE you start to criticize something. It had a good story and real meaning, unlike most movies these days.
I'm not even a big fan of Ryan or Reese. But I hate all the constant negativity.

As many have pointed out, their situation parallels exactly that of Ms Jolie and Mr Pitt, yet Abbie Cornish is a homewrecker, slut, etc and Ms Jolie is a saint (even though she's been involved with more than one married man). Angelina was an upgrade for Brad. Jake was an upgrade for Reese. These two couples are absolutley great and stunning. That is why they are not criticized. Maniston is nasty and Ryan downgraded and will end up like Maniston, lost and lonely after they lost two wonderful people. Love Reese and Jake, she will probably get married and be so happy together. Ryan just didn't appreciate what he had when he was with her, she is a awesome actress and role model with talent. He will be very sorry.

The movie they were in was the movie Stop-Loss. This movie is about the war in Iraq. Stop-Loss means that when our soldiers are at the end or their contract the Government stop losses them and makes them go back to Iraq, even though they want to go home to families. I am a military wife and before you say anything rude about this movie watch it! You will be appalled. In Iraq 81,000 soldiers have been stop-lossed. Thanks for not supporting our troops.

I agree! The movie was REALLY good and actually gave us insight on how soldiers feel after. Seriously, I don't know if the military has psychologists at their disposition, but they seriously should.
