id want to whoop some ass to if someones dog bit my child in the face. perez and his website are so lame. owell,he will be old news soon enough just like the majority of nobodies he rags on.
it probably wasn't a dog bite, it was probably a series of cigarette burns from the mother as she puffs away while holding her kid.
ok seriously…. Yea it's sad that the dog supposedly bit the kids face, but do you know why? Only the child and the dog do. I have a dog, she is one of the nicest dogs ever. She has very sensitive ears…..if they get tugged the wrong way, it hurts and she nips. She has nipped me a few times when i give her a bath and hit them the wrong way while drying her off. I had a guy come up to me with his 2 children and they wanted to pet her…and looked right at the father and said thats fine, she likes kids, but DO NOT let them pull on her ears as they are sensitive….so he told them not too and what do you know the kid walks right up and yanks on her ear and she bit him. The father looked like he was going to yell and kick my dog until i looked at him and told him….i warned you, so its your kids fault. Some kids rough house with dogs..some dogs are ok with it, maybe the kid pulled on the dogs ears, maybe the kid stepped on the dogs tail…hell maybe the kid bit the dog. Maybe the mother should watch after her kid a bit better.
The Mom should be arrested for smoking in her kids face. I cannot believe that parents still expose their kids to second-hand smoke. The health effects on that for the little one is far worse than the pit bull bite.

Chant- its not the BREED it is the OWNER. Every dog has the ability to bite the problem is that idiots who want a dog to bite people buy pit bulls and rottweilers and the other bully breeds and then encourage them to do so. You even said yourself that the dogs are insecure and need to be handled by someone who knows what they are doing. If you know how to properly train a dog, you neuter or spay it, you won't have these problems.
I work in a vet clinic as a nurse and see at least 10 pit bulls everyday and 10 small breeds everyday, and the ones that are most likely to attack me are the small breeds. Children are attacked by small breeds everyday, and quite visciously, the only difference is they are smaller and easier to grab off of a child. And on another note I've also had to muzzle labs more than I have had to muzzle pit bulls. Don't feed into the media hype, it's just bad people getting the same breeds of dogs and perpetuating the stereotype.
And please don't give me the stories of family's that had a pit bull and everything was wonderful and they loved it and then one day out of nowhere it attacked! That happens in hundreds of households everyday all over the country to EVERY breed of dog. I've seen every breed of dog surrendered because of biting a family member. Its an individual dog thing and an owner thing, not a "bully breed" thing.
why is everyone so serious about this? it is without a doubt one of the funniest things i have ever seen, yes those poor children probably have a very bleak future…but just focus on that mom coming out of the house all messed up, broken pick bra strap and belly action and you have some good times. btw…that kid is super cute tho…i thought it had to be florida, toledo…go figure.
their neighbors should have taken responsibility and offered to pay for damages.

She IS responsible for her two year old son's injury. Who lets a two year old play with a PITT BULL? She has rocks in her head. I've seen two year old boys with dogs, and they yank their tails or pull on their noses or poke at their eyes incredibly roughly. Any child under 5 needs total watching with pets of any kind, until they've demonstrated an ability to handle them correctly. To top it off, she physically assaults her neighbor, and needs to be charged and face a judge. You don't take your anger at yourself out on your neighbor. "I didn't watch out for my toddler, and he got bit, so I am going to assault YOU." If the dog threw him into the kitchen, does that mean he was left alone with the dog outside of where she was? Pffft.

OK, I HAVE to comment on this one!! First, I agree with everyone who said the mother is putting the child in more danger than the dog. Secondly, while Pit Bulls kind of scare me too, it was more than likely NOT the dog's fault. I have seen first-hand my SHIH-TZU bit my nephew in the face TWICE in two days, because the little turd kept scaring him by jumping around him and pressing his face up to my dog's face. And this was just a month after a YELLOW LAB bit the same boy in the face TWICE!! Don't always blame the dog - they don't know any better - take better care of your child and this won't be an issue. I feel sorry for the dog in that cage scared, alone and away from his owner. He must be so sad and confused right now, wondering what he did wrong.

You're right! More than likely, he was being too rambunctious around the dog and the dog reacted the only way it knows how. I tell children, even around my little dogs - Shih Tzu and a Lhasa Apso, to be gentle. I tell my dogs the same thing, but they don't understand. ;o)

A dog will defend itself, and knows nothing about being politically correct. This dog is a victim of poor parenting, as the child is. If I were the dog owner, I would hold the toddler's mother and her lack of care initially responsible for my poor dog being caged or hauled away. The owner may know that the dog doesn't react to her family aggressively, but should also know to stay close when with others, or stop aggressive behaviour on the toddlers part. The toddler was a stranger impeding on the dog's family's territory as far as the dog is concerned. Dogs are protective of their own family by nature. They are pack animals, and this toddler is not part of his pack.
This "mother" is guilty of ignorance and sheer stupidity.

It is a natural reaction for a mother to lash out when her child has been hurt or is in danger. "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" times ten! I would've killed the dog and anyone who tried to stop me. And yes, I LOVE animals, but not as much as babies. Most people would freak out if this happened to their beautiful baby boy!! Poor thing, bless his heart. I hope a top notch plastic surgeon will help him, and that he and his family heal emotionally.

I was born and raised in Toledo and escaped to Florida 3 years ago, the east side is a bunch of white trash, aparently according to this video. Smoking and holding your child, god only knows what the parents and adults were engaged in when the poor child was bit, they should kill the dog and turn the child over to Protective Services. Pitbulls are aggressive in nature just like EVERY OTHER BREED OF DOG. except they get a bad rap because people use the breed to fight. PITBULLS ARE NOT VICIOUS DOGS UNTIL YOU TRAIN THEM TO BE VICIOUS DOGS. end of story. I work in a shelter with multiple pitbulls and I stick my face in theirs all the time. I got her for my 5th birthday when she was a puppy, we trained her properly, and she has never bitten anyone. she doesn't chase, she doesn't growl, nothing. the only time you'll come across an extremely aggressive dog is if they grew up in the wild, if they were abandoned or abused, or if they were trained to be violent. don't fucking speak down to dogs like that, god knows I'd rather hang out with them than dumb ignorant fucks like yourself.

Nobody here has the right to say that the mom should have her kids takin away from her because she smokes. My sister has two kids, smokes and is a great mother,OK? My mother has smoked my entire life and I turned out just fine. Nobody knows why the kid got bit so dont say that the mother wasnt payin attention because you werent there. Not all pit bulls are bad. It depends on the owner. My cousin has a pitbull and he trained him so well that he lets him near his toddler. As for the East side white trash postings, I'm from the east side and my family and I are far from being white trash.The mom didn't over react because the dog BIT HER 2 YR OLD. If my neices got bit and the police/animal control didn't do anything, my sister would get pissed and would probably do the same thing.

I live in Toledo, OH and most people are not like that!!!! The report stated the East Side and that is one of the worst parts of town. They are specifically referred to as EastSiders, AKA white trash. They grow up over there with a thug mentality. Not all are bad but the vast majority are trash.
